Have you ever wondered about the seventh wonder? This book gives you an insight into a probable meaning behind various geographical locations containing ancient buildings such as the great sphinx and pyramids of Egypt.
This suprising book from author Graham Hancock connects various aspects of suedo history, ancient songs, biblical texts and great monuments. Sounds silly? After you have finished the book you may not think so. Graham goes about pointing out that there have been civilizations before our own, some maybe even more powerful. Some of the evidence that springs to light after his lengthy research can at times be quite eerie, but not infalable, which means that some sections you have to take with a pinch of salt.
This book takes you on a journey round the world to various locations of mystery and then systematicaly uncovers truths behind them. Every chapter in this book is very nicely written, sometimes borderline travel writer, which gives the book a more personal feel to it. There is a lot of what tries so hard to be solid evidence as well in this book, a lot of which acheives, suggesting things like a complete pole shift and the pyramids of egypt matching the belt of orion (both of which have since been proven true).
This book spawned me to conduct my own reserch on this topic, and read a host of other sources, because to me this book really does show something. If you want to know why all ancient calenders end around the year 2020 then this book is a fantastic starting point, which is readable by anybody, and provides you with the beginning of the learning curve to understanding.
I can't recomend this book enough. If you are an Egyptologist however you might not like this book so much as it crumbles a lot of existing theorys on Egypt, but still read it if you can, it is always good to increase your knowledge of any subject.
If you are not a great reader then the 600 page book might seem a little dramatic, but owning a copy means that you could refur to it at a later date if you ever needed to.
