Advantages: a bright board book featuring everyone's favourite fireman Disadvantages: not very well written
FiremanSam has been a favourite in our household for many years, I can?t say that I am a huge fan of the new FiremanSam, I?m an old fashioned girl at heart, but I suppose it?s what the kids like that matters! This book is based on one of the stories from the S4C TV series and contains pictures from the episode.
This FiremanSam story is published by Egmont and is a board book measuring 15.8 x 15.8 x 1.6 cm, which I find a little big for the smallest of hands to cope with! It has a lovely bright red cover with a picture of FiremanSam holding Bella the cat in his arms on the front. It has a RRP of £3.99.
?FiremanSam to the Rescue? describes what happens when Bella?s beloved cat Rosa goes missing in a storm. James and Sarah find her with her collar caught on a fence and call the fire brigade who swiftly come to save the day.

trouble. We then see Norman who is going on an adventure, he is supposed to be meeting his friend for a picnic. His friend wonder where he is and they suddenly scare on of the sheep who is on the mountain where they bare having their picnic. The sheep falls over the side but it has a soft landing, it falls on Norman who is climbing up the side. Norman and the sheep get stuck so the children decide to call FiremanSam.
Will Sam be able to save and rescue Norman and the sheep?
2 - Twist of Fate.
Mandy is going on a caving adventure with Norman and the Station Officer. As they set off on their adventure Norman looses his supplies from his bag as there is a hole in the bottom where the dog bit it. Norman and Mandy run off inside the cave down a secret passage.
