They Offer good Protection
Advantages: The finger stalls keep dressing clean. Disadvantages: They are not watertight
...and covered it with a Boots Finger stall.
Let me just briefly touch on the benefits of using a finger stall and for anyone who may be unsure of what a finger stall is to try and describe it to you. ( Finger stalls could be thought of as a bit outdated!)
Boots the chemists stock their own brand of finger stalls, there are two stalls in each box and they are priced at roughly £1.99 a box.
Inside of the box you see two fairly large PVC finger shaped ... ...the morning I wore the Boots finger stall, as long as you are not plunging your hands into water the dressing then stays clean and fresh and dry. The Boots finger stalls are a lifesaver really but only in certain circumstances. The PVC finger stalls are one size fits all so once you are wearing it you notice that there would be room for infiltration.
The stalls are flexible and you can rinse them out successfully and the PVC stays soft after it ...

Super Strong
Advantages: Super strong Disadvantages: None
I recently purchased this product when I unfortunately fractured my 4th and 5th metacarpels (hand bones) quite severely. I went to a & e and after a long wait, I was advised to just buddy tape my fingers together. This involves taping the fingers together to allow the bone to fix itself in the correct line. Therefore I bought myself a roll of this tape, after reading its claims to be super strong.
I taped my fingers together using the tape and found ... ...very impressed with how strong the tape was, not coming undone at all, until I had to change it, even then I struggled to get the tape off.
Overall, I believe the tape is very good, it is not too expensive, and it can be used for a wide range of injuries, not only strapping.
The product costs around £3.99. ...

A little bit of care
Advantages: Soothing and healing Disadvantages: None for us
Care antiseptic first aid cream
I always like to keep some kind of antiseptic cream in the house and in the car ready for cuts and grazes.
This is basically an antiseptic cream which can be used for minor burns abrasions and nappy rash and is suitable for use on children and adults. Although it doesn’t state it on the packaging, I assume also that it can be used on cuts and grazes, so have been using it effectively of Little Miss’s knees, both ... ...itself is packaged in a box with the instructions on the sides, and inside the box is, as expected, a 30g tube with a screw on/off lid. There is the usual spike on the top of the lid which I use to pierce the foil protector, and then i can get to the cream. The cream, when I squeeze it out, is white and creamy and has an antiseptic smell, whcih is quite reassuring as I would hate for it to smell floral! The cream should, as directed, be applied directly ...

Easy way to bandage your poorly finger.
Advantages: Applicator makes bandaging easy Disadvantages: hurt finger
...box. I found a Boots finger bandage and applicator. I decided I would bandage my poor damaged finger. I bought this a long while ago for a different finger emergency. Plenty of finger bandages left. There is 4 metres of 1.6 wide finger bandages. This bandage comes as a tube just the right width for a finger to be poked into. There is also an applicator this is a piece of plastic which fits over the finger. This applicator certainly makes applying ... ...bandage easier. This finger applicator is really very good.
