If you do no more than read the first line of this option -PLEASE BUY A SMOKE ALARM- If you are continuing to read I can recommend a good product- Manufactured by First Alert the smoke alarm with Silencer and torch test retails for £10.99 and I purchased mine from Focus DIY Store. The alarm carries the British Kite Mark and has a 10-year guarantee, it also comes ready to install with a 9volt battery. The alarm has several good features which were my main reason for choosing it- A silencer feature (for the times you burn the toast) it quietens unwanted alarms for 10-15 mins then the alarm ... more
