I got very frustrated as I wasn't ovulating (this was proved by blood tests at my GP's) but still got a faint blue line in the second window and it was quite hard to tell whether this line was classed as "similar" to the other one or not. A better design would be to have a similar function to pregnancy tests in that if NO line appears then you are not ovulating. The tests come with 5 test strips ... ...5 days in each cycle or you can just use some and then try again next month. They are easy to use, but to be honest I found that taking my temperature and marking it on a chart was a far more effective method and was much easier to read. The idea is very simple, you wee on the stick and wait the alloted amount of time, and if the levels of ovulation hormone are present you will get a result. The down side is that I found it rather difficult to read. A blue line appears in one window to indicate that it has worked properly, and if you are ovulating then another blue line appears in the second window which is supposed to be either the same shade or darker than the first blue line.
