My son received the Fisher Price Amazing AnimalsLearning Train for his first Christmas when he was six months old by his granny and granddad. Everyone had watched his face light up every time the advertisement came on TV and the grandparents insisted on getting it for him.
On Christmas morning stood a long present neatly wrapped (not for long) as he ripped of the packaging (with a little help) he was presented with a very colourful box that bordered the animal train.
The train itself is finished in bring primary colours and consist of a giraffe, an elephant and a cheeky monkey. When you press the train the music begins "Hop on board the animal train READY here we come,,,," you will soon know these of by heart and the train moves along. In the engine train part if you place one of the animals provided to sit in the space it will reward your baby with another one of the five catchy tunes which teaches all about animals ( thank god for the volume adjuster I hear you say!) The animals themselves have movable joints which makes clicking noises and textured feet and teethable ears and the monkey is even a rattle!!
It requires 3 x C battery which is sold separately.
The motorised train can be played in stationary mode for the younger baby or on the move which will roll along a few feet ....it helps to encourage your child to crawl along after it.
The songs are very catchy but parents will be glad to hear that it also comes with two sound settings which can be adjusted accordingly.
My son is now 10 months old and is still fascinated by his train and claps along with the music that is very familiar to him now.
I would defiantly recommend this for any child 6 months plus as it provides hours of fun on end!
I have seen different price range for this toy I cannot say what his cost as previously mentioned it was a present but looking around price ranges 25- 35 pounds but it is defiantly worth the money if you look at how long it keeps your little one entertained and I don’t just mean hours I mean months! It is quite a big set I found these dimensions of the product on another site
