Advantages: Excellent quality, Great play value, very tough Disadvantages: Assembly time, Cost, A bit big.
I bought this garage (also known as the 'Ferrari Big Action Garage') for my 4 year old son last christmas and he loves it.
He asked for a garage I looked far and wide. We specifically did not want one of those toys that come to bits as our house is already full of assorted pieces of plastic. I found this one and was influenced by other reviews I had read on it so decided to buy.
It is expensive. I got it for £34.99 from ... ...an offer and I have noticed it has gone back up to £49.99 now. That said, it is worth it for the quality.
It came in a huge box, which when opened revealed loads of pieces to be assembled and a manual. This was a bit daunting but I had read in other reviews that if you intend to give it as a present then ensure that you assemble it first as no child would have the patience to wait for you. It is expensive. I got it for £34.99 from Toys R Us on line at christmas but that was an offer and I have noticed it has gone back up to £49.99 now. That said, it is worth it for the quality.
It came in a huge box, which when opened revealed loads of pieces to be assembled and a manual. This was a bit daunting but I had read in other reviews that if you intend to give it as a present then ensure that you assemble it first as no child would have the patience to wait for you. Most of the pieces just snap together to make a permanent join but you need a screwdriver to firmly fix some parts. Note that once snapped together the pieces will not come apart, which in my opinion is a great advantage but you must make sure you have got the pieces in the correct place before making the final snap. It took me about half an hour to assemble but it was quite easy and the instructions were very good.
Once assembled the garage is virtually indestructible. This is one of it's major plus points. I very much doubt if the average child could damage it without taking a sledgehammer to it. It will even take being stood on. However, once assembled, it is also very big and as it cannot be disassembled make sure you have got enough room for it before buying.
The garage is made of tough plastic and comes as three parking levels with a spiral ramp up to each level. There is also a lift to take cars up to each level which can easily be operated by small children. There is also a big ramp that cars can be release down with a jump ramp at the bottom. There is even a storage drawer within it to put some cars in.
It somes with three tough plastic vehicles but is sutable for any popular sized die-cast vehicles. It even has a connector so that popular tracks (like hot-wheels) can be connected to it.
Overall, this is a very well designed and well built toy which will give a great deal of pleasure to any small car enthusiasts.
Advantages: Great for imaginative play, sturdy and brightly coloured, Made by fisher price Disadvantages: expensive for one toy. Quite large so a big room is needed
Fisher Prices’ Big action garage is one of the best children’s garages I have seen on the market to date. Although a little pricey for a child’s toy at £54.97 it really is money well spent. The garage comes in a box with home assembly required, this was a little daunting as the instructions came in an A4 booklet! However it took roughly half an hour to assemble and was relatively easy once I got going, everything you require is ... ...The garage itself comprises of a ground floor level with barriers and petrol pumps, the second floor level leads onto the long spiral ramp as does the top floor level. There are two ramps, a speed ramp, with a jump at the end, which cars ‘fly’ off, ( they really do....usually straight at the cat!) this ramp also doubles as a slide for my son!!! although I doubt this would be recommended, and a corkscrew ramp which leads from the top to ...

Fisher price garage.
It was his fathers before him.
When I visited my daughter the other day I discovered Adrian had received a present from his other grandparents. Cleaning out the loft they had found Martin (my son in law's toy garage) Adrian at 15 months is only just old enough to play with it.
I would really recommend it for a child of 18 months upwards to about 7. 1 yr old is the manufacturers recommended age but I feel maybe that is just ... ...rolling the cars /wheeled toys down the slope.
The garage is obviously made well lasts as this one has a generation or so. I have experience with this garage in my childcare and it does take a lot of bashing and use without damage. I think looking at the pictures of the modern toy garage it has changed a little, not much just a little. The modern garage costs between 20 and 22 pounds. A second hand garage can be picked up for £3-6 pounds on ebay ...

Advantages: Brighly coloured and very sturdy Disadvantages: none that i can think of
My boys had been nagging at me to get them a garage i had bought them loads of different types but they always got broke as they were made of really thin platic that broke easily.
I visited a local auction where i came across this fisher price garage and i thought to myself that would be perfect for the boys and yes of course i got it and for only £3 i was absolutly gobsmacked as they cost £60 so i was really happy espescially at the money i saved.
... ...which means the kids can park at least a hundred cars in there it really brings out the best in a childs imagination they play for hours parking cars fighting fires with little fire engines and also crashing cars my four year old likes playing police chase in the garage which is really funny.
The ground floor is coloured grey, the first and second floor are blue in colour, the floor level ramps are yellow and the top ramp is red there is also a little ...

Advantages: play value, robust Disadvantages: takes up a lot of space
We decided to buy a garage for our two year old son when his collection of cars had grown so much that they needed a home and we felt he needed somewhere to play with his cars. We looked at the smaller garages which seemed fine for his needs but eventually settled on the very large Fisher Price version as he had played with a friends and enjoyed it. It was more expensive than the others but a year on I have to say that it was worth every penny. It ... ...it has been played with by many children every day. To be honest I would have never have thought it would have so much play value but it has a lift a petrol pump and of course the cars just whizz down. The only down side, if there is one, is that it does take up a lot of room but personally I would sacrifice the space for the endless hours of enjoyment. ...
