My Son Jake was brought this by a friend for his 1st birthday. He is nearly two now and still uses it. Its bright and colourful and lights up which is nice. Plays only one tune. This can get alittle annoying for use mums. So here we are on with the review.

COMPANY.................

Fisher Price have been making toys for children for years. They strive on making their toys bright colourful and reasonably priced. I have found for the best part that nearly every toy I have brought that is made by Fisher Price to be sturdy, hard wearing, Educational, and of course fun.

PACKAGING.................

When seen in the store you can test the toy before purchase. Of course it comes in an open front box. Upon opening the toy you are faced with the usual. You know what i mean if you have children, wires holding it in the box coupled with sticky tape. So after twenty minutes of tearing and unwinding wires its out the box. (Please note the wires and small plastic bits are easily swallowed, So discard carefully)

WHAT DOES IT DO.................

On looking at the product it has four bright coloured stars. These are chunky with textured raised bumps. I found this nice to have some texture to it for small hands. On the top is the star which when placed on plays the music. It also rocks slightly which i also found a nice addition. Its a stacker so each star being slightly smaller than the last. My son got to grips with it easily. On Placing the Blue larger star on first. It makes a nice noise and lights up and down the stick. This happens because of the small button at the side. My son really loved this feature and will some help from me, we placed the rest on. After the stars are in place you place the top star on. The top star has a happy jolly face and when placed causes the music to play twinkle twinkle little star. This is pretty much all it does.

IS IT EDUCATIONAL..............

Yes, I believe it is educational, helps with hand and eye co-ordination. Helps the child to recognise size difference and colour. And learning the song with your child and singing it together is nice.

DOES IT TAKE BATTERIES..........

Yes, it takes batteries 4 AA batteries. But the nice addition here is that it comes with batteries included. This of course now days is a rarity. My batteries unfortunately didn't last long and after a month i had to change them. Since then it has been fine. Of course its perhaps the kids and parents in the store pressing the button everytime they pass. You know who you are the kind that sets off every toy when passing.

IS IT EASY TO CLEAN.................

Yes, it is easy to wipe clean durable plastic. The wand or stick as it where should only be wiped clean with a damp cloth. As this part holds the batteries and sound and light parts. The stars can be put in hot soapy water given the raised bumps i found i had to do this often. And soaking was the easier method.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY..............

Well, i do know this was purchased at Woolworth's for £12.99 and i believe worth its money. Its durable and fun. I have noticed it recently for £9.99 so shop around most stores stock it.

MY OVERALL OPINION.............

Well, i like it after the first battery change they have lasted nearly a year so not bad and its used regular. My son still enjoys it now
I believe the age range is from around 9 mths but providing your child is sitting they should be able to use it. I do prefer it to the older fisher price stacker and would recommend it. Its reasonable in price and bright and fun.

Thanks for reading lou x
