I decided to buy this for my 2 and half year old daughter as I had heard a lot of good things said about Elmo live and the many wonderful things he does as he laughs as he has sensors on his hands, feet, mouth, nose and back. Each sensor pressed enables Elmo to tell many funny jokes, he sings some of his favourite songs and he talks by moving his mouth up and down like a real person and I must say he is certainly not one to be shy at all as he can talk quite a bit but very interesting at the same time. His head really bobbles back and forth while he speaks. He can wave his arms, cross his legs, sit and stand and play games.
My daughter was very amused by him and kept playing with him non stop she said it was her best friend which I thought was very sweet indeed. Elmo live also come with a very cute little blue chair which he can sit down on and actually sits down on it himself if positioned the right way. His banter in very sweet and even made me laugh a few times.
Overall the only down side to this toy is that Elmo live can be a little delicate as I found his hand to be a bit thinner than expected so you child will have to be careful with him, and the red fabric material could have been a bit thicker with more padding as you can sometimes feel the mechanics from inside. but other than that Elmo live is a great buy as your child will have hours of fun with him. He is very entertaining for children and even for adults alike. You can buy this on eBay much cheaper from around £35. I highly recommend this item as it’s a fantastic buy

I have 6 grandchildren of different ages and like to keep a toy box for when they visit. As my husband and I have recently retired we thought we would renew some of the toys in the toybox and acquired Elmo, made by Fisher-Price.
Elmo Live stands about 12 inches high and is suitable for ages from 18 month. WOW - never mind my 2 yr old, I love this Elmo toy! Elmo tells you 2 stories, a few jokes, dances, sings,laughs and does a few other things too. It's not cheap at c£60, but I think it was just about worth the money. The only down side would be Elmo's lack of clarity/pronunciation - some things are a bit difficult to pick up the first time. Elmo sits to tell you stories and knows when he's fallen over...such a clever toy! As with all of these sorts ...

Elmo live is more of a childrens toy but it makes the whole family laugh. If you have seen Elmo on the TV you will be amazed because this toy is Elmo, in movement and speech. He comes with a little chair that if you put behind him and press his foot he tells a sory and sits down. You can press his nose, back, tummy and foot and he will come to life.
