I bought this recently for the purpose of keeping my 8 month old daughter amused. I love it! I bought it from Argos for £19.99 which I thought was well worth the money.
I was quite excited taking this out of its box because both my partner and I are musical so obviously want to encourage our daughter to learn about music at a young age. Once you get through all the usual cable ties and cardboard it is extremely easy to put the piano ... ...x C batteries which are included.
The piano has a full octave (8 notes- C,D,E,F,G,A,B,C), various controls on the back for baby to learn including a slider, dial and lever.
The piano has 3 modes:
LEARNING MODE - the piano teaches numbers (1-8), colours (red, yellow, green, blue), the 'doh-ray-me' scale, pitch, tempo and musical styles. The musical styles include classical and swing.

I was quite excited taking this out of its box because both my partner and I are musical so obviously want to encourage our daughter to learn about music at a young age. MUSICAL FUN MODE - the piano teaches a variety of nursery rhymes including Incy Wincy Spider and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Using voice, sound and light (the relevant keys light up with the melody) the child can follow the melody with her fingers. There is an interactive songbook with pages to flip (the pages are made of hard plastic so are very baby frendly). The music stand has a 'sun with hands' that occasionally move with a song.
IMAGINATION MODE - This mode enables the child to play anything they choose. They can even play chords which is very rare on baby toys. There is a metronome so they can keep time as they play and plenty of sound effects including drum fills.
The only thing I can think of that needs improving is the leg space. My daughter has to stretch over while sat on the floor because there isn't enough space for her legs to go underneath, due to the size of the piano legs, if that makes sense. The piano legs do make the product very sturdy though so I don't feel it is a major problem.
I have to admit I have played with this piano just as much as my daughter and we both love it! My daughter has even started trying to sing with 'the lady' - a miracle as she is only 8 months old!
This product is recommended for 9 months and over.
I woud definately recommend this piano to anyone (fun for adults too!!!)
Advantages: Our best buy yet without doubt Disadvantages: Legs don't detatch once assembled as far as we can tell.
My 10 month old son has had the baby grand for 3 months now and still loves it, he sits at it several times a day to play! Now that he can stand he also loves finding all the extra musical sliders and buttons behind the music book too.
This has been an extremely worthwhile toy - very educational as well as great fun. There are so many settings with varieties of music/ play options.
I found that once the legs were attached, they couldnt be removed ... ...to do this. It isnt a problem however as Im sure it will proudly sit in the living room for a while yet- even my neices who are 5 and 8 had a wonderful time playing with it!
I cannot fault the baby grand piano, its a fisher price classic. ...

Advantages: Lots of different activities for all stages of their development Disadvantages: Not much space to sit at the piano
I bought this recently for my 7 month old as he was already wanting toys he could sit at and play. It's for 9 months plus but he loves it already!! It is great fun, encourages them to make sounds, my sons face when he hits the keys and hears a note is priceless! There are lots of different activites to keep them amused and the piano keys themselves can either be hit and make a note, play a line of a tune or do number counting so lots of developmental ...

The award-winning Laugh and Learn range from Fisher-Price the Baby GrandPiano!
The Baby GrandPiano is certainly a grand way to explore music, learning and imaginative fun!
Like all toys in the Laugh and Learn range, it has two different modes of play - music and learning. Babies will not only enjoy creating concerts, but will learn about numbers, counting, opposites, colours, tempo, pitch, music styles, and more!
A friendly dancing character comes to life as baby plays and he can flip the pages of the interactive songbook. Baby can keep time and replay songs with a metronome pal and can move the slider to learn high and low pitch. By turning the dial baby can hear fun music and sounds.
With colourful light-up keys, charming sing-along songs, and lots of activities, there's plenty for baby to discover and enjoy.
