I bought this for my Daughter for Christmas 2004. She had been bought a lot of Little People bits for her October birthday and I was quite impressed with their cheery faces bright colours and the fact that they were chunky little characters made them easy to grip (she was only 1 then).
The Christmas set was on special offer at Argos for £12.99 which I believe had been reduced by half price but cant be sure now..it is not normally around in the shops ... ...to get one from Argos Toys r Us (who also have sold this) until then.
I think it was a lovely item for the price I paid but I wouldnt have wanted to pay more because although it does look like a lovely play set it doesnt actually do much.
In the set you get Three village shops, a bakers, a toy shop and a sweet shop
