My kids pretty much now have the whole of the Fisher Price Little People range. This is just one of them they have. The best thing about this range is that my daughter plays with the house one moment and the train and the garage the next. My son is the same. Every single set has something different about it and all with those noises and some have music too. Though this one is a let down from the rest that we have. This is one that does not really get played with a lot as there is very few things to do with it unlike the rest of the range. I should say that this is aimed at the younger babies rather then the older ones.
WHAT IS THE WORLD OF LITTLE PEOPLE.
Well for anyone that does not have kids or just have not seen these sets, then where have you been for the past 5 years !!! Made by Fisher Price they are all individual play sets. Each set has something different about it whether it be the noises the sounds or the music. Each set you will get 2 or 3 little people figures that can be mixed and match with the different sets that are all available through most good toy shop and Argos. With each set you will get a 3 piece train with the train set, 2 cars with this garage and the doll house a load of furniture plus extras. As you can see by now that each set maybe the same name but has a totally different play and fun value to it. Making them fun for kids. Each set has a educational value to it too.
WORLD OF LITTLE PEOPLE PIRATE SHIP.
The Little People Pirate Ship is made by Fisher Price and like all the other sets in the range this is also large and chunky and brightly colored and prefect for little ones to pick up the items and to play with them.
In the shape of a large pirate ship. The ship is mainly brown, yellow and blue. There are plenty of things to do with this ship. Like all the other sets you also get sounds and music. To activate the sounds and music you only need to simply press down on the parrot to hear 3 sounds and a nice little tune.
With this set you also get 2 little people and a ball that can be fired out the cannon on the ship. On the ship there is a red wheel that can be turned round to reveal a platform.
FEATURES.
Figures can "fire" the cannon or take a snooze in the hammock Ship features a fold-out bed chamber, talking parrot, walking plank, hammock and cannon with cannon ball. Includes 2 pirate figures, anchor, chair and table. Stern section slides out to see the captain's quarters with a bed, table and chairs
ASSEMBLY.
There are a few things to put together with this one. You have to fit the flag to the masts and then put the masts up. Once that has been done you need to place the parrot on his perch. Then there is just a matter of placing the rest of things on the ship and the stickers and the batteries. Then you are ready for play.
CLEANING.
Again with most toys now only damp wipe. Do not use any hard cleaners like bleach as your child may place the people or any other stuff into their mouths. Bacterial wipes are great as long as they are safe for kids.
BATTERIES.
This takes 3 X AA like the rest of the sets do. You will need a Philips screw driver to unscrew the battery compartment that is un the base of the circus.
Battery life is good like most of the sets. Though there is a on / off switch as well to save on battery life whist not in use. Though Fisher Price clearly state then if not in use for long periods of time then to remove the batteries to prevent the batteries from leaking and damaging your toy.

We brought ours from toys r us a few years back and paid around £30 I think. Looking on their today it is priced at £19.99 which is great value. Though this is out of stock at the moment. Argos also sell this for around the same price as do most good toy shop.
MY THOUGHTS.
I have always liked these sets from the 1st one we brought our son which was the train set. Kids love them and they have so much play value with each one and a whole lot more with the other sets. Made by fisher price so you know by the name that you are getting excellent quality. The battery life is also excellent which is another good thing. All the sets have roughly about the same battery life. These can be mixed and match with the different sets also so the fun will never stop. With each set you will get a green bit of fence or a yellow wall thing that attached on to another set. Making a village when you have all the sets.
~~ Recommend Age ~~ The recommend age for this one is 12 months. With supervision though I would say a tad younger then that.

Yes I think they are great it's like a whole little toddler village that are just prefect and big enough for small hand to play with.
