Flash 4 allows you to create Macromedia Flash animations easily. To my knowledge there is not another program that can be used to create flash animations besides this one, this is probably to do with Macromedia retaining control of its file formats. Having said that, there is little need for another program, as Macromedia have again excelled themselves and produced an excellent piece of software. I have used falsh for a while, since it came out. To be honest at first I found it very complex, difficult to use and somewhat fiddly - hosever, now that I have grasps some of the key concepts it wasn't long efore I was able to put to use its excellent array of tools, its mighty macromedia power and supurb graphics. Flash is a very interesting piece of software that has the potential to become something really good. In the wrong hands however it can create some of the most shockingly hideous pieces of web design that the world has ever seen.
