Now I don't know about anyone else but when i am pregnant I am obssessed with cleaning!! On one of my pregnancies my huband seriously considered seeking help as I was going through about three bottles of flash a week!! Nothing was safe, walls, floors, cupboards even my carpets...as it happened we had just got a darling new puppy for my son ( a now great lump of a spoilt baby, the dog that is !) and with every little darling comes puddles...so off i'd go with flash bleach in one hand and kitchen roll in the other and not once did it ever bleach the colour of my carpet, needless to say my mother used to stand there mouth agape in horror!

I have and still use flash bleach to bleach my sons socks ( minging, stinky muddy monsters from the depths of toxic space!!), the latest babies bibs ( whoever designs baby foods should seriously consider the colouring, have you ever seen an orange bib?!) to anything white that looked slightly grubby. Oh yes and I have even started using it on my latest cookies babygrows, mainly on the feet as shes zooming around in her walker and they get really grubby. Everything comes up beautifully white, RESULT.

Although now not pregnant( shock and amazement as I seem to be always pregnant) I don't use the spray to the same drastic extent I do still use it daily to bleach down all my surfaces and I also use it to clean my bathrooms and occasionally if my son & friends have been tromping through every patch of mud available to man I do use it on the floor.

I think the smell can be a bit overpowering and it is always wise to leave windows open if using it around small children after all at the end of the day it is bleach. I think the best bit is after the strong smell has gone and you're left with a very satisfying clean smell (the swimming pool smell my children informed me!).

On the down side going back to my crazy bleach everything in sight days because like most women I resorted to wearing my husbands nice large tops whilst pregnant I regularly bleached straight lines across the belly parts of the tops as I stretched my large belly across said bleached counter to wipe off excess, yes my husband was very thankful for flash bleach spray(NOT!!)

In all honesty though even though it is a bleach so it does disinfect, I was once told by a microbiologist that using bleach only encourages germs to breed and return, but although I listened to his advice for a while my brain couldn't except the fact that using a mild detergent eg washing up liquid was a better solution than using bleach!!

Now down to the nitty gritty, what's in it? Well I was quite surprised to find that it doesn't actually list what is in it although it does tell you that it contains sodium hypochlorite ( chlorine bleach well duh maybe that is why it's called Flash Bleach...) but further on down it tells that less than 5% so the rest well your guess is as good as mine!!

What's it cost? Well as with every saleable item it all depends on where you shop. Personally I buy it wherever it has a special offer on ( bit of bargain hunter!!) sometimes Tesco when it is down to 99p per bottle of 500ml, sometimes if you're really lucky you may get the buy one get one free ( or bogof as my son ecstatically realised one day!) but if no offers on I'll buy it at Wilkes as they are the cheapest at £1.20 for 500ml.

Easy to use? Exceptionally easy to use so never ever leave it where little hands may be able to get it, even if you think it may be safely out of reach if you have a child like mine (Damians Daughter!!) who can seemingly levitate to heights well beyond her own!! so we now lock the Flash Bleach away in the cupboards with safety locks on and even then we place it right at the back of the cupboard as she discovered if it was at the front she could slip her little hand in and manouver the bottle out!! Oh joy help with cleaning, we discovered nice bleached spots on our curtains and all over her new boots cause they were eeuwwcch!!

Just rembered something else but it is very important try not to get on your skin as it is really irritating and drys your skin very quickly. It would be a good idea to wear rubber gloves with it but if like me you can't get to grips with them just make sure you wash your hands off properly immediately after use...
