Victorinox Swissbit USB flash drive - 512 MB
Review of Swissbit SWISSMEMORY USB Victorinox retroALOX - USB flash drive - 512 MB by Itstar77

Advantages: Durable and Well built. Nice Design.
Disadvantages: Doesn't have any Swiss Army Knife accessories

This is a USB flash drive produced by Victorinox, makers of the Swiss Army knife. The design is basically a USB Swiss Army knife without the knife and accessories. The outer case is made of durable aluminium rather than the more traditional red plastic. The design is nice and much better than a lot of other flash drives, however I think i prefer the more iconic red plastic version. The USB stick is clear plastic allowing you to see the circuit board ...
...flips out of the case when in use and is held in place by a clip at the keyring end when being carried. A small green LED on the circuit board indicates activity when plugged into a USB port. The drive is USB 2.0 compatible and I have used it on both PC and Apple Macs with no problems. The manufacturers claim that it will work with USB 1.1 ports but it doesn't work with those in my keyboard. The transfer of data is as fast as any other flash drive ... Read review

Sony Micro Vault Tiny - USB flash drive - 1 GB
Review of Sony Micro Vault Tiny - USB flash drive - 1 GB by Itstar77

Advantages: Stylish design. Available in a variety of colours.
Disadvantages: Too small and easy to lose. Flimsy carrying pouch.

...and too easy to lose. Sony have obviously realised this as a carrying pouch is supplied which has a clip and a loop of plastic for attaching to a keyring or lanyard. However it is pretty flimsy and quite small itself. It also seems a bit strange to go to the trouble of designing a very small stylish drive and then expect people to carry it in a larger and uglier case. While these drives have come down in cost, they still don't represent very good ...
...a premium for the super-slim design and can get much more GB for your money with other devices. Overall I think the Microvault Tiny is a nice design but its size limits its practicality. If you want a nice looking pen drive this is a good choice but if you want a drive you can use often, or that you would back up important information on, I would recommend a larger device. ... Lexar JumpDrive USB 512mb
Review of Lexar JumpDrive Secure II - USB flash drive - 512 MB by blackhawk204

Advantages: Portability, ease of use, money saver, plug-and-play.
Disadvantages: Small (ish) storage capacity.

Lexar JumpDrive Secure ll is a USB flash drive with a good 512mb storage capacity. It boasts plug-and play functionality, allowing you to pop it into any usb drive on a mac, pc or server and drag and drop files 'to and fro' as desired. (Ease of access depends on the o/s you have installed, i use both OSX10 and vista, both work great!) Now 512mb isn't exactly the king as storages spaces go (you can get upto 8gb now!!!) but its perfect if you only ...
...hardly a wallet burner. Lexar is a well trusted brand, and once again they have produced another fine product that will re-assure the user thanks to the in-built encryption software that will enable you to encrypt your data upto 256-bit AES and store them into ''vaults''. I have tested this software and tried to break into (hack) such vaults and can assure you it cannot be done. The flash drive software also incorporates a ''file-shredder'' which ... Read review

Corsair 2gb Voyager Flash Drive
Review of Corsair Flash Voyager USB flash drive - 2 GB by PepeLaPue

Advantages: Speed, Reliability, Looks, Lanyard
Disadvantages: Rubber coating makes it quite large

...chose this flash drive as corsair are a very well respected memory manufacturer, and had read on various forums that its speed was second to none. I can confirm that as i have used it in conjunction with the Vista Ready Boost function that aims to boost system performance by using a flash drive as a page file, naturally the corsair with its speed was a good choice for this job. This is a very competent and very quick flash drive, which i whole ...
...freebie and makes the flash drive easier to find. However when plugged into a usb drive the rubber outer coating can impair the usage of other usb peripherals but this is only a minor qualm with an otherwise excellent product. For the price you can find cheaper flash drives out there but as with any technological product it is oftern worth investing in quality rather than saving, in this case, a couple of pounds. ...
