Great little device
Review of SanDisk Cruzer Micro - USB flash drive - 4 GB by
Godlesswanderer
Advantages: Great storage, fast, cheap
Disadvantages: U3 software seems a little pointless
I needed a flash drive and this little thing looked and sounded like the thing for me. I have all my personal files backed up on it using the sync manager - which by the way could not be easier to use even if they tried (which they probably did). They claim to be compatible with any computer and while I have used this flash drive with both a PC and Mac, I hav not tried with any other OS so I cannot be 100% sure. I feel quite old saying this (even ... ...USB flash drives are incredibly cheap these days. I remember buying a 256 MB flash drive and it costing £25 so it's a huge bargain getting these 4 GB flash drives for under £10
Fantastic little device. I have so much personal and business data on it and I can still add a movie. Personal data is encrypted and safe. Best little gadget I've bought this year. ...

Kingston 2GB
Review of Kingston DataTraveler I - USB flash drive - 2 GB by
hnilesp
Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: security is minimal
This is a very easy to use USB flash drive. The security functions that are seen on many of the latest USB pens aren't seen here. The device is quite handy and easy to use... would've been much nice had the cap been replaced by the sliding port like in most new versions since the cap is likely to be lost.. Due to the fact that the USB pen drive is very handy it can be lost.. due to this an identification system and a lock would have been very good ...

Storage capacity: 2GB
Titled: here's lots of data storage you can lose on a train!! The company is called Kingston and was formed in 1987; they derived from the booming storage data decade from the mid 1980's, and have developed products and become very well informed in regards to sustainable versatility. Their services and products cater for computers, servers and printers ... ...is called an 'auto-run' The Kingston interface then runs as an applet allows you to then use the device and start storing the digital data by 'drag and drop' cursor technology.

A flash drive is now the main source to all portable memory devices and determines the transfer speed. It reads at a transfer rate of 28MB's per second and that is halved when transfering data from the key to another workstation, the more workstations used ...

Good features, but really only for Windows
Review of Transcend JetFlash 220 Fingerprint USB Flash Drive by
TimmyRaa
Advantages: Fingerprint and/or password encryption, relatively cheap given the features, range of capacities
Disadvantages: Encryption requires running software and is Windows-only, protective cover not that protective
Wanting some storage I can carry with me and keep on my keyring, I was aware that it could potentially fall off and was more likely to lose. I'm not so worried about the cost of replacing the key (most are cheap enough to be nearly disposable now), but I was concerned about other people accessing my data. Therefore I need a key which encrypts or just restricts access to unauthorised users.
I use Windows at home, and as I sometimes use Linux machines ... ...both, so I had the idea of getting one with fingerprint authentication on the stick itself.
As a result I chose the JetFlash 220 flash drive from Transcend, as it advertised "driverless use" so I figured I could use it on any operating system. Unfortunately this is not the case - it is completely driverless, if you just want to use the unencrypted section. However, obviously that is not protected, and what's the point of paying the extra for an ...
