...to our IT department a Kingston DataTraveler USB flash drive soon arrived on my desk. For those who have never seen one, flash drives are a modern alternative to the ancient technology of floppy disks. You can easily transfers file to and from it and it is reusable unlike storing stuff on CD. It has a little white cap which when removed reveals the USB plug. You just plug it into a USB port and send to it whatever information you want (it usually comes up as a "Removable Disk" in your explorer). I was lucky enough to be given one of these for Christmas,and what a delight ti is. I have a couple of pc in the house and I am always wanting to transfer information between the two.I have tried several methods but not being a computer hardware buff have always screwd it up. ending up copy data onto a cd and transfering it that way. Not the most efficient way of doing things as cd tend to hold about 700mb of data and most of the stuff I need ...
...little gizmo comes into its own. If your operating sysyem is running win98 or better and its equipped with a usb slot ,that all you need. Just take the cap of the Micro plug it into the usb slot and hopefully your pc will detect and show this extra memory {256mb}as an extra drive.
