Does what it's supposed to do
Advantages: 8GB space, robust, good value
Disadvantages: not the quickest
This is a solid piece of kit. I've had mine for at least 2 years and it still works perfectly. It's small and light and the cap stays on when you put it on - which is more than can be said for some of the other brands. At the current price for 8GB, it's also very affordable. The transfer speed is sufficiently fast, but if you are transferring a lot of small files which add up to a few GB in one go, it can take quite a long time - e.g. 15 minutes. ...
...taken up by the usual stuff, so you won't get exactly 8GB, more like 7.7GB. Once you plug it in, it's very easy to use, either in XP / Vista or a MAC. It automatically loads up. The activity light is surprisingly useful as well, as you can tell when it is not safe to remove it - nevermind what Vista tells you - as long as the light remains off for a few seconds, it should be fine.
