FLASH! AaAaar - Saviour of the Universe!
Review of Belkin USB 2.0 Flash Drive USB flash drive - 64 MB by
noodlebutty
Advantages: A portable drive that does the job
Disadvantages: It's very small - don't lose it!
The belkin USB flash drive is very useful for storing information and transferring it from one computer to another.
It saves and backs-up documents, presentations, music, videos and photographs. I have found it to be very quick and easy to use, although I have only used it for text documents so far. It's basically a replacement for the old floppy disc but it's smaller, more modern and can do more. Just plug it into any USB port on your computer, ... ...and away you go!
It is available in 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, and 512 MB versions. I have the 64mb version which is currently available at shop4usb.com for only 8.99, (damn! I paid quite a bit more at Argos).
If you're on Windows XP, 2000 or ME you can just plug in and use immediately. For Windows 98 and 98 SE, drivers are included in the neatly packaged box. There is also a USB extension cable and a neck strap.
It has password protection, an LED ...

Xbox 360 Memory Unit
Review of Microsoft Xbox 360 Memory Unit flash memory module - 64 MB by
JamieJCO
Advantages: Can transport gamesaves and Gamercard information | Light and easy to transport |
Disadvantages: Over-priced | Very little storage |
The Xbox 360 Memory Unit serves as a useful tool for taking your game saves and Gamercard with you wherever you go. The small memory card fits into one of the slots in front of the Xbox 360 console, and it is then registered as a new storage device immediately. Any game saves can then be automatically saved to your Memory Unit. If you have files that you wish to move onto your Unit then it is very simple and quick to do so. The file you wish to add ... ...the Hard Drive via the Memory menu on the Xbox 360 Dashboard, a process that is very easy indeed. From there it can be moved back to your own console whenever you wish it to be.
Whilst this is handy for moving your files around, it definately isn't recommended as a permanent storage solution, simply because of the small size. Notably, the 64MB Unit actually on has 51MB of free space due to the system items that are already saved on the Unit and ...

The vital piece of PS2 equipment!!
Review of Sony flash memory module - 8 MB - Sony PlayStation 2 Memory Card by
kingchris
Advantages: OK space to save data, it is vital if you plan to play on your PS2!!
Disadvantages: Maybe not much saving room for extreme gamers!
...not made by Sony, but Sony have made larger sized memory cards!
The PS2 memory card transfers data 200 times faster than what the original Playstation memory card did. This makes saving, loading and deleting data much faster and easier! This memory card also uses Flash memory, which is the same technology that is used for digital camera cards, and it is also used in MP3 players. This means that a lot more data is able to be stored on the memory ... ...found various prices for the Sony 8MB Memory Card. When I first bought mine, they were just new, and were about £25-£30. Now they are much cheaper. I have looked around on the Internet, and the most expensive price I could find for one was between £20-£25 and the cheapest was about £10-£15.
Overall
The memory card is a vital piece of equipment. Without it, your gaming experience will be very poor. In my opinion, Sony should give you one of these ...

Nintendo's version of a small brain..?
Review of Nintendo Memory Card 59 - flash memory module - 4 MB by
benraiben
Advantages: Allows Game Data To Be Saved/ Cheaper Than A 251 block card
Disadvantages: Doesn't Store Much Game Data.
...to a disc. However, most Nintendo fans will be aware that up until 2000 Nintendo were utilising cartridge based games, and so games could be saved directly on to the cart. So what do you do? Well, the solution can only be one thing really. Acquire a better quality card or a memory card with more block space to it.
What is block space? Well, every Nintendo Gamecube game will state on the box at the back how many "blocks" of memory it requires to ... ...demand between 1 - 5 blocks of memory. You can purchase two varieties of memory card for the Gamecube. A 251 block memory card and a 59 block memory card. The latter is the one being reviewed here, and also the one that is the most likely to come along with Gamecube packages to start you off. The 59 block card is fine if you know for sure that you will only be playing one, two or maybe three games. However, if you are prone to playing multiplayer ...
