Review of Kingston DataTraveler I - USB flash drive - 2 GB by
chloelowndes
Advantages: Simple, convenient and practical.
Disadvantages: Size may mean misplacing it.
...would be lost without my Kingston Data Traveler flash drive pen! I am a student at university and this pen has been the most hard wearing out of the previous 2 i have owned. Capacities available:
I have the 2GB version but this pen also comes in 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 4GB and 8GB capacities. However some of the device's capacity is used for formatting and so is not available for storage use. When a device such as this is manufactured, certain ... ...other cells fail over time. Kingston Data travelers have controllers that automatically block out "bad memory" and move the data to other parts of the device in order to prevent corruption of the data stored. This enables the Kingston Data Traveler USB flash drive to have a long but finite life (approximately 10 years with normal use)! Even if the device you have is faulty in any way, Kingston deliver a 5 year Guarantee with this product so it is ...

Kingston 1Gb Flash Drive
Review of Kingston DataTraveler I - USB flash drive - 1 GB by
craggybuk
Advantages: Compact, fast, reliable
Disadvantages: Lack of transportation strap
I remember when USB flash drives hit the market a few years back when you could fit a staggering 16Mb worth of data on a device the size of your middle finger. Since then capacity has increased and prices have decreased at an alarming rate. For example you can now get 4Gb flash drives for cheaper than the original 16Mb drives which represents great value for money.
--Whats in the box --
Contents of the box are minimalistic to say the least, there ... ...can then use to attach the drive to your belt/keyring, etc. This device really is plug and play in its simplest form, there arent even any instructions supplied with it, mainly because none are required.
-- Useage --
Plugging the drive into a spare USB slot will give you an extra drive in Windows Explorer (My Computer) typically F but could be further down the alphabet if you are lucky enough to have multiple hard disks and CD/DVD drives. On viewing ...

King of the Flashes
Review of Kingston DataTraveler I - USB flash drive - 4 GB by
Zmugzy
Advantages: Portable high capacity storage
Disadvantages: Easy to lose
The Kingston 4GB DataTraveler is a no-frills convenient and affordable USB flash drive. Compact USB flash memory drives have are an increasingly popular means of storing portable data. They are an efficient way of conveniently saving files for storage or as a quick and easy means of transferring your data from one computer to another. They have more or less replaced CDs as the principle storage device for making back up copies of data. Data flash ... ...before you purchase.
The Kingston DataTraveler USB 2.0 Flash Drive is good value, offers simple plug-and-play storage and gives excellent all round performance. The prices of data keys have dropped dramatically in recent years. I bought a 256mb key for £12 only two years ago. I purchased the 4GB key for only £10 on Amazon. The DataTraveler model is also available in smaller versions of 1GB and 2GB capacities. ...

Sandisk Cruzer Micro - Bargain!
Review of SanDisk Cruzer Micro - USB flash drive - 2 GB by
MadMike542
Advantages: Hi-speed, handy size, great storage capaity + more
Disadvantages: Only works with Windows 2000 +
With ever increasing piles of work due in at college, my old and semi-broken 256MB flash drive wasn't living up to its requirements. In need of a much larger USB pen I hunted around for a good deal until I came across this little bargain.
For around £10 this 2GB USB flash drive is capable of holding hundreds of music tracks, hundreds of documents and images as well as videos and other media files. I have used this pen for quite a while and it is ... ...contains all of my college work which is graphic-intense, full of documentation and video clips. I also store some small downloads on my pen which is perfect for swapping files between PCs.
Ok, as a low-down of this product here are the main benefits you get:
* A hi-speed USB connection which allows very fast transfers of files (providing your USB ports are capable). This is achieved by simply plugging your pen in and you're away in seconds.
* ...
