I need a cup of coffee in the morning to wake me up and get me ready for work and I am one of those people who cannot drink instant coffee, it has to be fresh coffee and it has to be decent tasting coffee, so when it was suggested to me that I actually but a decent coffee machine and save myself some money by not going to Starbucks every morning to for my caffeine fix.

The Flavia Fusion for me is the perfect machine; it is like a mini Starbucks all in one and better still it is on my kitchen worktop. It comes available in the colour Black, Ice-blue or red and costs in the region of £80 however as it was a gift from my parents I didn't need to worry too much about the cost.

Known as the Flavia Fusion drink station they are designed to give you the freedom to brew up to more than 30 different hot or iced drinks and It is a combination of a coffee maker, espresso machine and teapot all-in-one. Upon the purchase of this machine you will receive a sample pack of everything this machine can do because the drinks it will make for you come in little sealed packet like containers which apparently seal in the freshness. Each packet is designed to make one cup only and nothing more, so for me it is designed for a sole user or a couple at the most and definitely not a family friendly machine.

To use this machine is relatively easy and the more times you use it the easier it gets. The drink station has been designed to be easy it use and is not very time consuming at all. There is a water filter which you fill with water when it comes to making your drink and the water filled is filled up with cold water to the line which says maximum which is approximately 7fl oz water, remember to unplug your appliance from the mains electricity supply from the wall when doing so to avoid getting an electric shock. Then once you have picked which type of drink you open the door of the machine by simply rotating the top ring to enable it to open and you then insert your drinks package fully until it clicks into place and you will hear it click into place and then as you close the door you will hear a little piecing sound of the package being opened by the machine. That is the difficult part over, I did find it to be quite tricky when I inserted the drinks package the first time round but now after several uses I can do it first time without any hassle.

Now you do need to ensure that you have a correct size cup to fit underneath the water spout otherwise your drink will go everywhere, so definitely place your mugs underneath the machine to ensure it does fit and then you select one of the three buttons on the top of the machine to make your drink. Each of the three buttons hosts a different function, there is one for drinks like cappuccinos, moccochino and chococcinno which take one of the frothy 2-packets beverages, one for tea, coffee and other drinks and the final one is for drinks like hot chocolate and once you have selected your drink the machine does the rest. Once the machine is in full working motion there are three indicator lights which will slowly flash as the water is hotting up and when the three lights are lit continuously the machine is ready to use.

To clean and maintain your machine is again very easy to do, because each drink is brewed separately there is no need to clean it after every use because all you need to do is remove the empty packet of beverage and put it in the bin. The only maintenance you need to do is the cleaning of the water reservoir but the user manual does ask you not to use any cleaning fluids when you do this, all you need to do is clean it using clean water. You can also clean the drip tray and wipe clean the brewing head and there are further instructions within the manual to do this. Within this machine is a Flaia Fusion water filter which also needs to be replaced every two to three months and they can be bought from the Flavia website for a cost of £7.99 each.

Now depending on which drink you prefer you can but them in 'rails' which usually consist of about 20 packets and they retail at between £4 and £8 per rail or you can buy them in cases which are usually packets of 100 and they retail at a cost of between £23 and £33 again depending on what drink it is you would like to purchase, if you can't decode what drink you like then you can buy what is called a starter pack which contains 60 of the different drinks on offer for £40 per box.

For this machine you can get numerous different drinks, there are 10 different types of coffee ranging from decaffeinated, Columbian and hazelnut flavour, then there is tea and again there is a wide variety of teas available such as Earl Grey, English Breakfast and decaffeinated. If you fancy something other than tea and coffee there is the 'Wellbeing' selection of drinks which contains Peppermint Cool which is a peppermint tea and then you can find raspberry tea, blueberry tea and a whole host of flavoured teas and finally there are drinks which are known as 'indulgence' and my personal favorites when it comes to drinks and here you can find Hot chocolate, Mars Swirl which is essentially a hot mars bar drink and here you will also find the creamers for your coffee and the creamy toppings for your cappuccino.

To sum up I am a big fan of this machine the drinks are amazingly tasty, it is easy to use and easy to maintain, the only downside is that you can only purchase the drinks online.
