Today I would like to introduce you to a little bottle of miracle. The Flexitol Heel Balm. I have never had good feet I think it is because I walk awkwardly (so my mum says) and I cant have dry skin I have to sit and pick it till it is either too sore to pick anymore or if it starts bleeding. They are always sore I can never buy new shoes and not have a blister and I can never go a winter without my heels seriously cracking and giving me hassle. That was until I found Flexitol as per usual this is something recommend by my mum I am useless in going into a shop and finding something I need my mum has to buy it and I have to pinch it that's how it works in my house.
It all started last winter when I had such badly cracked heels It hurt whenever I walked and I had to hobble around on my tip toes at home and just endure the pure pain when I left the house. I think your heels tend to crack when the skin dries out and it gets so cold they just crack just lately I have had my bout of cracked heels one looked like my heel has been slashed it was bright red and very sore. It just happens out of the blue one day they are fine next they are so dry and prone to cracks.

Flexitol is made in Australia, imported to the UK and sold in most big chemists such as Boots, Lloyds, Superdrug and the Co-Op. You can get a 56g tube for about £4.49 and an 112g tube for £9.99.
The box the tube comes in is a bit disgusting looking there is a picture of a horrible manky heel which looks really dark and cracked then it shows it 2 weeks later looking perfect which I think is under estimating this balm because if you use it twice a day for a week I would say your heels clear up pretty quickly. The back has a list of all the ingredients and a bit of information including not tested in animals, store in a cool, place and avoid contact with eyes. It also advises that it shouldn't really be used on children's skin. The balm is also known as Australia's No1 Heel Balm and I think it says it all and would defiantly say it was Britain's no1 Heel Balm as well.
The tube stands up right on its lid with the simple Flexitol Heel Balm for rough, dry feet slogan on the front in a white and red background with white writing, It also states the amount and weight of balm that you have on the front. The back of the tube has the directions on how to use and the contact details.

The actual balm is very thick and gluppy and comes out a yellowy brown colour you does not need to use a lot on your heel as it spreads quite easily and the tube lasts quite a while. When you first buy it you always end up smothering your heel in the stuff, which doesn't work as well, but when you've only got a little bit left and you use it sparingly it definitely works a lot better. The balm has a funny smell to it. While smelling a little bit like moisturiser it also smells like dry walk I'm not sure why but it is quite pleasant and not at all feet like!

The best time to use Flexitol is at the beginning of the winter even before your heels crack then it strengthens them and prevents them for cracking but of course I never do. It can be used even on the balls of your feet if they also go dry but as long as you does not put it between your toes it is fine as the extra moisture can lead to infections. Flexitol is recommended by doctors, chemists, and chiropodists and now mums. They advise that you use this as either a protection from cracks and dryness or a treatment of dry or cracked skin. I apply the cream usually once in the morning and once in the evening before I go to bed. I like to put a small bit on and then put a sock on to keep it on and I fins that when I wake up it still a bit sticky so it does stay n and I find it works a lot better when it is kept on the skin for a long period of time. It is designed to soften the skin add moisture and heal cracks. It warns you that if your heels are already deeply cracked and you apply the cream you may get a stinging sensation. Well I can tell you there not wrong there It kills it makes me go red it hurts that much but at least you know it is doing the job and you will soon have nice soft, supple feet.
Flexitol is also recommended for using when you have bought new shoes and need to wear them in without getting a blister by stopping the friction. I haven't tried this but I does not think there is any cure for new shoes and me, we just does not get on!

I would defiantly recommend Flexitol Heel Balm to anyone that suffers from dry feet or cracked heels this balm really is a healer. When my heels ate really bad it takes about 4 days for them to clear up which I think is very quick. Within 10 days I think they clear up completely. After my heels have healed I usually stop using it I know that isn't the point but if I keep my feet warm & don't pick them I tend to be ok & if they crack again a continue use but because the cream is £5 a time I tend not to want to buy a tube nearly every month I'm a bit of a cheap skate.

Flexitol have also brought out a cuticle and nail cream which looks good it comes in a jar and can be used either on your foot or hands it is suppose to strengthen the nail to prevent cracking and also helps repair the skin around the nail and to stop it continuing. I haven't tried this but I think I might it sounds good.
They have also brought out an odour control foot powder, which I think is quite self explanatory. It sounds good if you have sweaty feet but I does not unless I wear trainers without socks everyday for about a week and then they can get a bit wiffy but other than that I does not so I does not think I'll bother investing in any of this.
They have also brought out a cream called very dry skin balm it sounds like another miracle cure and may need some testing out. It is meant for use on the body not the face and is suppose to prevent peeling in the sun and dry skin in the wind it is moisturising your body whilst keeping the wrinkles away. It prevents chappness, dry skin, flaking and also wrinkled feet.
