Having very recently become diabetic following surgery I’ve had to do the obligatory health checks, one of these being a visit to the podiatrist. She gave my feet a good looking over and noticed no problems other than hard skin. This came as no surprise to me: spending as much time as possible with no shoes I have healthy feet but they do have a layer of tough hard skin (it has been said that I should have been born with hooves.)

Every spring I give my feet a bit of attention ready for wearing sandals and have tried a variety of heel & skin moisturisers but none have been outstanding or inspired me to buy them twice. My podiatrist recommended Flexitol as the best in her experience. She explained that the most active ingredient in moisturisers is Urea which is expensive and the more Urea a cream uses the more expensive it tends to be. Flexitol contains 7% which is the highest in any of these foot moisturisers.
I’ve seen this cream before but have been put off by the price but last week I decided to give it a go

I’ve now been using it twice a day for 7 days now and I can only tell you how impressed I am. I have no hard skin; it’s been replaced with smooth soft skin that doesn’t have that nasty yellow tinge. Its even got rid of the hard skin round my little toe and the couple of cracks in my heels.

My foot care regime as recommended by the podiatrist:

Each evening;
• File rough skin, either after soaking (in the bath foot spar or bowl) or while dry.
• Dry skin well or rub off powder if filed while dry
• Apply cream, you don’t need a large amount; a hazelnut sized squirt is enough
• Wrap feet in cling film and keep wrapped or a while (an hour if you can, but be careful if you’re moving about as you’ll feel slippery. This does sound odd I know but the cling film keeps the warmth of your feet in and makes the cream penetrate better
• After removing the cling film rub in any cream that hasn’t been fully absorbed.

Each morning;
• Apply cream, use less than in the evening and rub in well

Using too much makes your skin feels oily and is wasteful.
I hope you enjoy this cream and the softness it gives you feet as much as I have and as an extra benefit your hand get to feel great too

* I saw this cream on special offer today, 25% extra free which makes it excellent value: 75g for £6.00 so keep your eyes open and treat yourself , your feel really will feel revitalised
