Advantages Buttery taste, heart healthy fats and easy to spread
Disadvantages none
As a mum of two daughters - 5 years old and nearly 2 years old - I am always looking for products which get the healthiest, must nutritious food into them, whilst tasting great. Flora Buttery allows me to get some heart-healthy good fats into my family, without compromising on the taste.
Flora Buttery is an easy to spread alternative to butter. It has 70% less saturated fats (the bad fats) than butter itself. It also contains seed oils which are high in omegas 3 and 6 - difficult minerals to get into your children usually. We use it in everything - spreading on bread and toast, using a little to baste a chiken with, even baking things like shortbread, that require a buttery taste, but which you don't want to use stick butter - especially if baking for the children.
For us it has the bets buttery taste of the "butter like" spreads. We buy a 500g tub in Tesco which is usually around £2, but can also be found on special offers very often. The children like the buttery taste, and for the eldest the easy to spread nature of it makes it easy for her to help in making her own sandwiches etc.Nutritional information is as follows:
