...program. As well as joining FLYLADY.net you will also want to join FlyingInTheUK (assuming you are based here, if not check the links on FLYLADY.net) for reminders in your own time zone.
When you join flylady don't be overwelmed by all the emails. Just delete them. You must take babysteps and just do what you feel ready for. Don't be put off by being reminded to put on your shoes - it is true you do lots more when you are wearing shoes!
The basic ... ...shoes everyday
Take baby steps, don't do everything at once
Declutter for 15 minutes a day
Take breaks
Have routines
The first thing to do is to shine your sink. The idea is that this will inspire you, give you a sense of accomplishment and bring a smile to your face, it gives you something in the house that you have control over. Next you need to establish simple morning and evening routines. Things like putting out clothes to wear in the morning ...

Advantages: Routines are easy to follow and adaptable. Adds a bit of fun to a chore Disadvantages: In american time zone, not many links
FLYlady.net is a site to encourage the badly organised to become the domestic goddess! If anything can improve MY organisational skills and untidy manner then it HAS to be worth a look.
The idea of FLYlady is to reform your habits a little bit at a time and help engrain some daily routines so that they become as much a habit as brushing your teeth before bed. Flylady tells you how to take "baby steps" to begin decluttering your home and keep it ... ...with one area of your home per week and no task taking longer than 15 minutes so that you don't get sidetracked. There are also fun "missions" to break the monotony of housework, like seeing how much change you can find down the back of your sofa cusions!
The cons are, for me, that some of the testimonials are a little cheesey, and you DO get bombarded with e-mails, (but you get to know which are applicable to you). Of course the reminders all come ...

At first glance flylady seems cutsie, sexist overtly christian and bossy.
The vast majority of its members are stay at home wives and mothers.Who are encouraged to clean cook and dust without complaint. Indeed to actively enjoy these activities.
To this end
They receive a veritable barrage of emails. reminding them every few hours of what the scheduled activities of the day are and encouraging them to do ... ...can be cloyingly sentimental. and testimonials from other subscribers.
Simply then site then to help you organise your housework?
Reading the testimonials provides the revelation.
Some are Housewives who have never worked outside the home but now find themselves setting up a business, or pay off towering debts maybe divorcing no good partners, and they credit flylady. Other more humbly are just glad to find that they have been able to play with ...

Advantages: A real help to organise your home. Disadvantages: American time frame. E-mail overload.
This site was recommended by other busy mums, and has been a very useful resource.
You recieve daily e-mails with missions for the day to help you declutter your home, and plans of what and where to tidy throughout each month.
You can get up to 30 e-mails each day, and if you were to read them all you would have no time to do any of the work she suggests. I block some of them now, but it is a good idea to read as many as you can to begin with. ... ...being based on New York time, but I usually just work one day behind Fly-Lady's schedule.
Fly-Lady will accept no excuses for not getting on with the tasks we need to do, but she is very motivating. Just 15 minutes each day has made a huge difference to the state of my house, and I am no longer horrified when unexpected visitors appear at my door. ...
