I bought this to replace my old Flymo 300 plus which after 7 years had finally collapsed, largely due to my mowing over a tree branch which broke the impeller. I decided to go for a bigger mower and am very pleased with the TurboCompact 330Vision which is Flymo's replacement for the old TC 330 Compact. It floats across the lawn beautifully and picks up a lot more grass than my old one. It doesn't pick up as much as a rotary but if your lawn is average sized or an odd shape a rotary isn't really suited anyway and I can't say that the bits it does leave are either noticeable or a problem. If anything it's too good at hovering and needs all 3 spacers fitting between the blade and impeller to get the lawn as close cropped as I like but having said that it doesn't need to be any closer so is not actually a problem if you're not comparing it to another model. It's not too heavy, very easy to manouvre when 'flying' but if you go over an edge it can lose the lift and drop which could be tiring for people who aren't very strong. For general moving around it has a useful roller on the front and this lets you lift the back and roll it to the next bit if grass! The 'Vision' grass box viewing window is a bit of a gimmick, can't really see what's going on but then again, unless I neglect the lawns I don't cut enough grass to fill the box anymore as it has a much larger capacity than the 300. Safety is good with the usual 'deadmans' handles on the grips, if you release them it stops and it also has a blade brake to stop it quickly. At £99, it is highly recommended for lawns like mine, medium sized, uneven, slightly sloping. Just another thought, Flymo's own website describes this product as 'not floating on a cushion of air'. I checked with them prior to buying it as it patently does. Might confuse you, it did me! Haven't checked to see if they've changed this yet.
Small update. Just came back from a 2 week holiday to find 6" of grass in the back garden. This mower is even better than I thought! The motor never slowed once and it picked up nearly all the grass. I had to empty the grass box twice but it did a great job.
