Advantages: Just so convenient and cheap for the pleasure it gives. Disadvantages: The gas bottle doesn't fit inside underneath where it should
...So are you bored with all those disastrous BBQs where you invite your friends round, and the heat peaks too early and only half your guests get a well cooked (burnt) burger and all the rest get Steak Tartar burgers ( RAW – get it !!). You stand there blowing frantically into dying embers sending ash everywhere , while telling everyone they’ll only be a few more minutes. That’s what happens when you use charcoal in freezing weather in a BBQ pit made out of an old oildrum
I can be stubborn too and it took me years to see the sense in buying a gas BBQ, with much digging from my wife.
To pause at this point, why is it that MEN – yes US – who often won’t set foot in the kitchen either because THEY don’t want us in there or WE think cooking is a girlie thing. BUT, - when it comes to BARBECUES, that...

Advantages: Spacious, Ash tray, wheels about, even cooking Disadvantages: Size if you have a small garden, doesn't come with cover or utensils
...)
* Pullout ash tray
* 48 x 50cm Cooking Area
* Colour – mine is blue (as pictured) but I think others available
Initial Building:
When you come to build it you will have received 2 rather large packages. 1 person can complete the task, but I advise 2 people! I think it took us less than an hour to build. Some tools are obviously required.(Be warned - you end up with a lot of packaging to dispose of at the end!)
Setting Up:
The BBQ is very easy to set up, simply line the ash tray with foil (makes it easier to clean but is not necessary), fill the charcoal basket with coals and light. You MUST remember to oil the grills before each use or you WILL regret it. I would advise waiting until the flames die down before placing the grills on, as with any BBQ. This will especially help on this BBQ to minimise blistering the porcelain coating.

Advantages: four burners, two trays and lower storage, easy on the gas Disadvantages: very heavy, rough edges, poor instructions, no hob ring
...We purchased this barbecue the day before the rains fell. Up until that moment, it looked like a great summer.
The bbq comes in two boxes and is quite heavy. It's manageable by one person but really needs two to carry it around.
We chose it because it seemed to hit all the buttons we requred. It had four burners, was gas powered, had preperation trays and storage underneath and seemed quite strong. Also it was on sale at £129 when we bought it although I imagine after all the downpours it dropped even lower.
The unit isn't the easiest to put together and sadly and annoyingly required me to redrill a couple of holes to enable a couple of bolts to go through the uprights at the right angle. There are also some badly thought out rough edges which aren't really that friendly when you catch yourself on them. It took me about 2 hours...
