Last summer, when my then 2 year old was potty training, it came to my attention that she was a bit small for sitting on big toilets when we went out. I lost count of the number of times she fell down the loo!

to the toilet, on average every 5 minutes, or so it seems. Public toilets are no ones favourites and it is back breaking to suspend your child over the loo. This easy fold child loo seat sits on the toilet seat and provides security for the child, peace of mind for you and a hygienic answer to germs. Stores within its own bag and is compact enough to go into an average handbag.
Advantages: folds and fits easily into a bag Disadvantages: bit hard to sit on
...I had remembered seeing a folding seat in a magazine and found it in Blooming Marvellous, but after a few failed attempts to order it from the net, I ended up going to the Tesco website and getting it for £7.99 plus £3 packing. I recently saw the seat in John Lewis but didn't notice the price. The seat is called a toodle Loo seat!

My A5 sized enveloped contained a plastic bag, sort of like what some toys come in now, with a handle which would make it easy to carry. I took the folded seat out of the bag and unfolded it!
Then came the test of trying out the loo with it! The seat comes in 4 parts which fold up in different ways but easily that my 2 year old could do it! It was white and made from a very hard plastic! On the top of the seat was a little ... more

I recently saw the seat in John Lewis but didn't notice the price. The seat is called a toodle Loo seat!
My package arrived 3 days later while I was on holiday and it appeared to have disappeared until my mother in law announced that she had a parcel for me!
On the top of the seat was a little ridge which was where the bun would sit!
The seat did not fit well on to any toilet and eventually I mastered being able to lift my daughter onto the seat, so she could do the loo without the seat moving out of position. She complained at first of it being hard and sore, but we have a soft toilet seat at home so I think she wasn't used to the hard plastic!
I found the seat to be off a hard durable plastic and was easily wiped clean if there were any little mishaps! In theory the seat is a fab idea but in practice a child may find it uncomfortable. It doesn't sit in the actual main toilet seat like most big seats do, but for being out and about, it does help a child feel more cofident about using a different toilet and prevents them falling down the big toilet!
The fact that the seat folds easily and fits in it's own little bag which makes it easy to hide in a rucksack or large bag is very convenient! It's very light so you don't even notice that you are carrying it!
Advantages: Handy when out, especially during toilet training Disadvantages: not stocked many places, not extremely stable
...saw in some catalogues a folding toilet seat which I though was great but struggled to find in any shops (I disagreed with paying normally about £4 postage for something costing less than £10). Eventually I found that a Boots store that stocked it (£9.99) and now I wonder how we got around without it. It folds into a quarter size and fits in a large handbag or changing bag. It is plain white and unfolds to balance on top of a normal toilet seat for ... ...other main drawback, because of the hinges it is not very stable. Other use you wipe it clean, refold and replace in the small bag supplied. Easy and convenient, pleased that I bothered to hunt it out in a shop (I don't buy much mail order, but if you do there are a number of catalogues that sell it under different brand names or no name at all). ...

Advantages: Small, discrete and incredibly useful Disadvantages: None !!
This is the best product I have ever purchased, and I'm so glad I did. Toilettraining is difficult at the best of times, especially when you leave the house. This foldingtoiletseat takes the worry and strain out of it all - literally !! No more back ache from bending over and holding your toddler to stop them slipping into the loo, and no more concerns over hygiene of public toiletseats. The seat comes with its own plastic bag, so you have no worries over putting it back into your handbag once the mission has been accomplished. The only problem I have is that my daughter enjoys using it so much and being a big girl, that we have far more toilet trips than necessary, making all outings into expeditions !! A complete must-have.
I purchased mine through Perfectly Happy People, and it was just under 8 pounds about 4 years ago ...
