Advantages: Easy to use, good value for money, stylish Disadvantages: The driver tends to fall off when the main bowl is removed
I think this is an excellent processor. It looks stylish too which is important when, like me, your processor is on show all the time. From my point of view it is very easy to use, although the instruction manual takes a little bit of getting used to. It is feature rich, which is one of the plus points that decided me in its favour. I particularly like the liquidisor, as does my daughter who had never used one before and was quite skeptical at first. ... ...it very useful. There is a small mill/processor which works well and is ideal for small quantities and herbs. The citrus press produces much more more juice than the standard glass lemon squeesy thing. The cheese grater is particularly good and I like the julienne disc. I haven't used the juicer yet so cannot comment on its effectiveness. ...
Advantages: Quiet and effective Disadvantages: Quite bulky to move if you need to do it frequently
...new food processor, buy the Magimix 4200. And no, I don't work for them. For various reasons I've been without any kind of food processor for a couple of years even though I cook everything from scratch. So I spent ages researching different models, wanting to get it right. Eventually I decided on the Magimix 4200 because there seemed to be a good ratio between cost and features and reports suggested good reliability. So what do you get? There is ... ...that can be stored on the unit. A variety of cutters and blenders come in a separate, compact container that can be stored alongside or in a cupboard. There are only three functions on the base unit: On, Off and Pulse so it's simple to use. The different sized bowls mean if you are processing smaller amounts, you use the smaller bowl and there is less wastage. On the other hand, there is an extra wide feed funnel for large items such as potatoes ...
Advantages: compact, can chop and slice almost anything Disadvantages: not that durable

Review of Kenwood FP 580
Advantages: Lots of accessories Disadvantages: Not at all durable
...I had a Kenwood Food Processor for 20 years, it was a regular workhorse and provided me with fantastic results, so when it was time to get a new one in August 2008, I automatically went for a Kenwood again, and chose this model as it had a large capacity and lots of attachments. I bitterly regret it now. The reason why is not because of the processing ability or speed, it is because the bowls and jugs are made out of some kind of flimsy plastic that ... ...previous Kenwood to last for years and years. I think there is a major design flaw in this product, or maybe a ploy by the manufacturers to make us buy replacement bowls and jugs (which are not cheap by the way). I would not recommend this product. Avoid. ...
Advantages: Great for anyone who's serious about cooking Disadvantages: Mixing bowls really need washing by hand
...spatula. The people at Dualit really have thought of everything!
The whole item is very simple to use and produces great results every time. The unit is of a simple, user friendly design with one large dial which can switch between on (one speed) and pulse. The main body is chrome looking plastic (not too tacky), complete with black underside and black suckered feet. The large clear plastic bowl is also trimmed with black. It comes complete with ... ...cookbook.
The only reservation I have is about the mixing bowls. They can go in the top rack of the dishwasher but only at 40 degrees or lower and must be removed prior to the drying cycle. Therefore, I think it's easier to wash them up by hand as soon as you've finished with them.
All in all though I'm very pleased and it has given me the inspiration to try out new ideas and recipes. ...
