Magimix 4200 - food processor Advantages: Use it for everything in the kitchen Disadvantages: You need extra space to store blade box ...for your money? The Magimix 4200 comes in a large box with a handle, so easy to carry around if you are shopping (although a bit heavy so buy it at the end of your trip). The product comprises of 2 parts: - the main food processor - a separate plastic storage box for all the components. The magimix has 3 bowls - mini, midi and a main bowl. The mini bowl is a small bowl which can be used for things such as chop garlic, to make a salsa verde or ... ...As part of the magimix you receive a number of different blades: - 2 metal blades (one large and one small) - Egg Whisk - Grating Disc - Slicing Disc - Juicer (for lemons, limes and oranges) Also provided is a spatula to easily get the food out of the bowls. Which model? Advantages: Magimix is slick, compact, easy to clean Disadvantages: Gets scratched in dishwasher This model is a great model, however i would recommend for occasional users buying a more compact model. This model's largest bowl will carry a huge amount of liquid, and is barely ever used in my house. The machine however is easy to use, and has a huge variety of attatchements for any occasion. I chose this model in white to save money, and i don't think the silver version (which my sister in law has) is worth the extra money as it requires polishing ... ...bleinding soups, making pastry, and chopping/grating vegetables. The grating attatchement is useful as it tends not to produce as much pulp as a manual grater, and when grating carrots for something such as a carrot cake, the carrot can be grated straight into the bowl, then the attatchment changed and the flour and eggs added straight. This product is essential now in my kitchen and i could not live without it. ... THREE IN ONE Advantages: Very fast and versatile Disadvantages: Quite heavy Magimix 4100 is the only food processor, that I know, which comes with 3 different bowl sizes. The motor of the processor is in the base that is about 25 x 20 x 15 cm The three bowls are stuck, one inside the other, over the base of the food processor, in such a way that is possible to use the small one on the top without removing the others, or remove the smallest and use the medium or remove the first two and use the biggest. Process up your bits with a Kenwood Advantages: Small, easy to store and good for those small jobs in the kitchen Disadvantages: Will struggle with larger items ...I have had previously used Kenwood products before and had been quite pleased with what they had to offer so I was quite adamant that this little processor would be as good as it claimed. Plus I didn’t want a monster of a processor, as I knew I wouldn’t need to use it all the time so it would have to slot into the cupboard without stopping the door from shutting, so when I saw this I thought it would be the perfect size. It has what Kenwood call a unique patented ‘Dual Drive system’, what ever that means, but as the motor is not the most powerful then I’m guessing it has got nothing to do with that, if it has then it maybe needs to be a ‘double-dual drive system’. Kenwood FP250 - Super duper machine! Advantages: Compact, easy to use and easy to clean Disadvantages: none that i can think of. Performance My multipro works like a dream; I use it for just about everything in the kitchen. I use it for mixing batter for cakes, make pastry, make scones, chop and dice onion, peppers, crumb bread. I even make milkshakes and smoothies in it. Grating cheese and slicing things like cucumbers and potato is a breeze. The blender is equally easy to use. Very often I forget about it being there, that is why I use processor unit more often than not. ... ...no complicated assembly, the rubber feet make it stay put while in use. Durability Well if having dropped the lid onto the tiled floor in the kitchen and not having to pick up pieces after this, I say it gets 10/10 for durability Manual As manuals go, I find them all much the same.
