Advantages: The best team in the world, good facilities Disadvantages: Expensive and busy
I have visited Old Trafford twice in 2 seasons now specifically for the United v City Derby. The ground has good transport links to Manchester via Tram, Bus, Car and "Football special" train. Initially I had some reservations about attending the ground for such a "hard fought" fixture, however the reception of fans and organisation was most excellent. I would recommend catching one of 3 special football trains from Manchester Piccadilly (on match ......minutes.... these trains are two commuter style trains that are joined together - arrive totally empty and can generally find space, with some standing, for everyone who is waiting. The train drops you off by the south Stand, which is not far from the away section, major entrances to stands and the club shop. Match days are very well policed, especially this fixture and there is no end of specific club officials in the area of the club shop with ... Read review
Advantages: Good View, Decent Stewarding Disadvantages: Cramped areas in concourses
...this a chance to visit Upton Park, a ground I doubt I'll be seeing next season based on current happenings on the pitch. When I was younger I always though West Ham was in West London. Of course it's actually in the East End of the big smoke. We took the club coach to the game and it wasn't a bad journey. This part of London isn't really heaving with some of the traffic flow that you may find in other areas. The ground is clearly visible behind a ......club this wasn't bad but maybe a lower price may have bought out the crowd and made it a better occasion. Anyway I'd definitely go back some time to Upton Park, hopefully it will be in the top flight but for now I look on at them with envious eyes. ... Read review
Advantages: City centre location, great facilities inside and outside stadium Disadvantages: Traffic congestion ! !
Having recently visited Cardiff and the Millenium Stadium for the recent Football League One Play Off Final (Sunday 29th May 2005), i thought it would be appropriate to review the stadium and surrounding area for other fans who may be planning a visit. The journey to Cardiff started at 8:00 am in Sheffield, a little under 5 hours later i arrived in Cardiff. It was quite a tiresome journey, and i would recommend that if possible the best way to get ......choice by coach. The railway station is very close to the ground and as for coaches, more than enough allocated parking areas. Now, back to getting there! The stadium is well signposted once you are on the M4, this is quite important as often some sporting events offer little help in getting you there! The traffic into Cardiff was heavy at times, and for this i think it is best to allow extra time for your journey. If travellling by car, there is ... Read review
Advantages: Easy to get in, most people want OUT Disadvantages: Smelly, dirty, scummy
...wide launching. The park of Fratton has completely good bonds of transport to the club, because there is a station of train a few minutes far, which binds all the way towards London! If you look at to buy tickets for a play of Pompey, you can be feeling frustrated to really have to descend all the manner in Portsmouth, at the office of reservation, where you must upwards make the tail during hours over hours. With the investments of Gayman we could ......Campbell [see my other review!], David James, Niko Kranjcar, Manuel Fernandes, Benjani and Mendes. What amuse to observe. With my second visit with the park of Fratton, I noted that we had bought a new large screen! This shows the goals if you could not see them and time. It is a useful development, as the last time I went, I wanted to know time and would have preferred to see the clearer goal. The atmosphere at the stage is large, with the noisiest ... Read review
Advantages: Great Atmosphere Disadvantages: View could be better
...the chance to go to Elland Road. My luck was doubled, as I went twice, as we met Leeds in the playoffs (where we beat them at Elland Road but unfortunatly lost the home leg) Onto the ground then from an away fan's perspective - I went once by using my club's coach travel, and once by car with two mates. Firstly, if you go by bus you will probably be dropped just opposite the ground. There is a McDonalds to your right hand side, which will most probably ......Overall for the away fan, Elland Road is a must for me. Especially if you are a supporter of a smaller club in League One, say Cheltenham for example, becuase its a truly beautiful stadium and the atmosphere is electric. Parking can be tough if you go by car, but personally Id do anything to go, and cant wait for my trip there again this season. ... Read review
