This is a great selection I feel as many of the clubs in the Conference North/South are only semi-professional so to include clubs of such low stature is a bold move, and in including these leagues you therefore have the choice of some 160 English clubs alone to manage. If English football is not your thing ...

Football Manager 2007 - marmite love it or hate it
Football manger game overview
This game quite simply is like marmite; you either love it or you hate it. I love it and am completely obsessed with it. Days, weeks and months have been spent pushing for promotion, staving of relegation or simply attempting to sign the best 16 year old footballer in then world. However, this happens to coincide with my love of football; playing, watching, listening ... ...to say that if football does nothing for you and never has then this game and its ilk will not be for you. The basis of the game is that you take full control of a football team, control the tactics, transfers, scouting, coaching and attempt to succeed. Matches used to be played out in word format and you could only read what was happening within the match. However, in recent years a 2d pitch has been incorporated to allow people to gain a better ...

Advantages: Strongly Revamped, Infinite Replayability Disadvantages: Only for Football Fans, Mostly Silent
Football Manager is the definition of a game whose greatness and addictiveness is difficult to describe. Even if you show it to a friend you'll most likely get a dismissive and/or sarcastic response, to the effect of "So you watch *dots* play football? How sophisticated!"
But give this friend your Football Manager for a weekend and you just might never get it back.

...game in the best selling Football Manager series returned. Football Manager 2007 is the closest thing you will ever get to managing a real football team. Will hundreds of brand new features, this really is a superb game and should be added to any football nut's collection.
Many of the regular features once again are included within the game. The most impressive of which is the extensive and huge database which graces the game. It is possible to ... ...easier to navigate around the football world. By far the greatest feature, and many Football Manager fans will agree with me, is the faster loading times. Of course, this is not a problem if you have a good computer but mine is a 256 MB ram. On the previous game it would take ages to process fixtures but that is a thing of a past. It is by no means instant but is much improved.
There are so many new features that I would literally be here all week. ...
