Football Manager 2009 is a life like football managerial game. This year’s game is the best yet and the all new 3D pitch gives the game the edge over its competitors.
After playing many football games including, Champion Manager 2009, PES 2009 and FIFA 2009, I firmly believe that football manager is the best by a long way.

Football manager 2009 is a new era of managerial gaming and is as close as many of us will get to manage a football club. From training, scouting, press conferences, player talks, match day talks, contract negotiations etc football manager 2009 offers it all.

Another realistic aspect of the game is the transfer prices and contract wages, also the fact that your club can get taken over is a bonus as well as you can get approached by national teams or other club teams that are interested in your services.

This game has vastly expanded my knowledge of the beautiful game and is extremely good at predicting which players will be big in the future. There is no better feeling than signing an unknown player on your football manager game boasting about them to your friends and then a few months later a big premiership teams snaps them up and he becomes an international superstar.

I believe that Everton Football Club use have football manager 2009 as a scouting system to find new players.

It is also surprising how addicted the game can get, at first you see the game as simply managerial game but soon it takes over you. This game takes you on a rollercoaster through all emotions. I once recall dancing around the room after getting AFC Wimbledon to the premiership and getting extremely angry after losing the world cup final. This gaming experience is one not to be missed.

I think that the graphics in the game are very good and I personally love the new 3D pitch although if that is not your kind of thing, there are other graphic modes such as 2D, Classic and commentary to make your gaming experience an enjoyable one.

The sound on the game is not that great but to be honest in this kind of simulation game sound is not really an issue, on match days you can hear crowd cheers and when a goal is scored you can get extra volume, but that’s the most you will get from the sound aspect of the game.

Football Manager 2009 is great value for money, it cost be around £25 but i would have been more than happy to may double that. The game never gets old as you can start as many careers as you like and as i have said in the past the addictiveness of the game is unreal and once you start playing and get used to the game you won’t be able to stop.

Football Manager Fever is vastly spreading, I have recommended it to many friends and now they are addicted like myself, it is a must have for any gaming or football fan. The only warning is it may takeover your life. In my opinion football manager 2009 the best football game of all time
.
