Advantages: Highly enjoyable, Considerably updated from last years offering Disadvantages: You'll have to forget any chance of a social life
...Having been a fan of the series for some time, dating back to the early days of Championship Manager 2 which was released some 10 years ago now, every time a new edition is released - I am quick to get out there and bag myself a copy of what I would consider to be the best footballmanagement game that there is available. You may wonder why I refer to Championship Manager here given that Championship Manager games continue to be released alongside FootballManager, however up until and including Championship Manager 03/04, Sports Interactive were the team behind the Championship Manager series, however after a split between Sports Interactive and Eidos whereby Sports Interactive signed a deal with Sega - Sports Interactive kept the base code, the game database and programming of the game, bringing this with them to Sega whilst Eidos kept...

Advantages: 3D match engine, all players in the world are available, better than LMA manager Disadvantages: Sometimes strange results like team in 1st place being beaten by team in 24th
...Footballmanager 2009 has continued the footballmanager series with the same features and layout of the game as the past versions, but this time features a new 3D match view. The game has many good features that would make me more willing to buy this game over the biggest competitor, LMA Manager 2009. Firstly, the game can be installed very quickly, and you can choose the countries and the leagues who wish to play in, or buy players from. For example, if you only wanted to play in the English leagues, you can do so by only entering the English leagues to play in, however if you then in future wanted to play in another countries' league(s) you would have to hope that that country or club makes you an offer to manage them. If not you will be stuck with only being able to take over teams in the country that you have selected. Many fans...

Advantages: Good controlling options Disadvantages: graphics could be improved
...Footballmanager 2008, i throughly enjoyed this game. I feel that it gives you a good choice of players and countries and clubs to manage and look at. It had almost up to date information, it was missing some of the latest players but beggars cant be choosers. The game allows to to make transfers, i feel that the clubs dont sell the players as easily as they normally would.
- What's New? -
When comparing this game to FootballManager 2007 and it's predecessors; there are a number of key changes that have been brought in for this latest edition of the game which I love so dearly. Before I purchased the game, the one which stood out to me most notably was the addition of 'FaceGen Technology'. This new addition for the game means that players generated by the computer are given faces, faces which with time age before your eyes...
