Plot -

That's when Remi becomes her forbidden boy...
What I thought -
Although this isn't my favorite book in the teen romance genre, I did think it was one of Hailey Abbott's better ones.
Like in most of her books, there is a real sense of family values and loyalty in the book, which I always appreciate, as I think family is very important. In this book, Julianne is torn between her love for her family, and her new love for Remi, and it creates a very difficult situation which I'm sure that more than a few of us out there have had to deal with.
I enjoyed the romance between the two characters. There were some very sweet moments that left me with a big, cheesy smile, and left me hoping that they would manage to sort it all out.
The storyline itself is an average one, to be honest. There wasn't much excitement in it - which isn't always a bad thing. But I didn't find it much of a page turner. But it is very readable, and well written so that finishing the book was not a problem.
I enjoyed the characters in this novel, and found them easy to warm to. Remi in particular was as charming as a male lead character as you can hope to get.
As I've already said, I found it to be one of Hailey Abbott's better books, so if you are a fan of her work, then I'd definitely check this book out. If, however, you are just looking for a fun teen romance book to read, then there are probably better ones out there for you.
This book would be a nice, fun, easy read, and great for the beach.
