Ford F-150, most endurable, reliable truck out there
Advantages: Powerful, safe, comfortable, huge towing ability and masses of space in the bed Disadvantages: fuel economy, rear leaf spring suspension
I bought a 2004 FX4, Supercab with a Flareside 6.5ft bed 4 years ago and have been using it every day out in the desert heat of Dubai. As the best selling truck in the States for over 30 years, it's credentials speak for itself. As a daily trooper it has been completely reliable, with the only things needed to be changed on it being a new battery and a new drivers side electric window unit and I am now at 130,000km. Otherwise it has been faultless. ... ...Hankook 315/50/20R's all round as well as a cat back quad pipe sports exhaust system. The modifications allow the truck to corner a lot quicker than anything of that size should do and the exhaust system gives it a sound appropriate to it's size. The 5.4 litre 24 valve triton engine is a solid block which on my truck kicks out around 315hp through the back wheels, with the option of the on the fly 4x4 electronic shift. There is more than enough power ...

The Pros and Cons of Conspicuous Consumption
Advantages: Biggity-big...makes others think YOU must be big, too ! Disadvantages: Outrageous petroleum consumption should make you feel guilty enough to lose your hair
...around you, etc, then the Ford F350 (also known as F%-Thrifty) and its SUV cousin - the Excursion - is the vehicle for you, my friend. If you, like me, have some amount of insecurity about your manhood, well then - you, too, are in luck - the Ford Erection...errr..Excursion, sorry, is indeed custom-made for you. At least until your friend down the block buys an H2, making you again feel puny and weak - like a Geo Metro of a man or something. Want ... ...they matter to people who actually purchase these monstrosities: BIGNESS: 137 inch wheelbase 3 rows of seats 44 gallon fuel tank (or, in Sally Struthers-speak: the equivalent of enough $ to feed a small nation each week...Wow !) ENGINES: V8, V10, or a "PowerStroke" Diesel - gee, nothing remotely suggestive about THAT name, is there ? Anywhere from 250 to well over 300 horsepower depending on the engine option Anywhere from 350 to well over 500 lb-ft ...

Ford Escort : 'Not A Bad Car'
Advantages: Cheap to run, plenty of room, 5 seats, good first car, cheap parts, widely available, large boot Disadvantages: no power steering, slow going up a steep hill
The 1.4 Ford Escort is quite a car in many ways. Featuring 5 doors, a large boot and a sun roof, this spacious car certainly has all the features. It pretty much has everything you find in a standard car, except power steering which can make moving when stationary a hard task. Being quite an old car means the Ford Escort is an ideal first car because the insurance is only around £60-£70 a month for someone aged 20-22. I was fully insured for my first ... ...it comes to petrol the Ford Escort loves the stuff. £10 will usually do about 80 miles, but I have managed to get about 90 miles out of it by driving smoothly and not accelerating too quickly. One thing I have found is that the fuel gage says you're out of petrol when you still have enough left to do about 10 more miles. Friends and family usually say, 'have you got enough petrol?' and you have to reassure them that you have as the gage is below ...
