Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec
Advantages: A great car from all angles Disadvantages: Not as many extras included as I would have liked
...the proud owner of a ford focus 1.6 zetec and for the first time in many years I have actually found a car that pretty muc suits all my needs.
I have spent many a time in cars that are too big, too small, not suitable, not comfortable etc but this is everything I could ask for. I own the three door version but the doors open widely and when the front seat is moved forward there is plenty of room to get anyone in the back, even my mother in law who ... ...really go wrong with a Ford. Reliability is excellent and if anything does go wrong then you know Ford parts are pretty cheap to get hold of.
Im personally really pleased with this car for the money. Cheap to run, insure and tax. Great reliability and a lovely drive. ...

My Ford
Advantages: All Disadvantages: No
...Driving: The Fiesta's forte. Ford really knows how to make cars handle, so even the cheapest Fiesta will thrill the driver in you. Steering is crisp (all models have a leather wheel), corners are taken tidily and enthusiastically yet the ride remains supple too. A class act, enhanced on the Zetec S model to perfection. Indeed, it's better than the ST, which has more grip but less finesse. The ST's engine is quicker but noisier than the 1.6-litre ... ...are OK. Servicing from a Ford dealer (the largest network in the UK) should be cheap and painless, and there are so many Fiestas around, finding parts will never be costly or difficult. Ford build quality is good and the car's reliability record is good. A four-star NCAP result is par for this class, though a few rivals go one better. ...

Focus 2.0 Ghia estate Feb 06
Advantages: well built solid dependable cruises all day long at above national averages Disadvantages: some interior trim creeks but hey the car speakers are good!!
...perfectly and it has 6 Ford service stamps. Ive just had it serviced myself and no problems disagnosed. They commented on what a good car it is. The bonnet has shown its fair state of stone chips but a 150 spray will put that right. Even the cruise control still works! Compared to my 22,000 330D Msport that I was running around in a year ago - too costly to run - this car is a myrical!!
I actually got offered by a car supermarket today more money ... ...for once in car land I'm quids in.
The auto box seems to jerk when youre coming stationary from 2nd to 1st but again Ive put that down to a trend of the vehicle as opposed to anything wrong.
I have another year left on the warranty in any case - £1,000 limit so if anything goes wrong fine. The warranty is with AA taken out post purchase. ...

exceptional car, one of the best i have owned!
Advantages: style, reliability, excellent to drive Disadvantages: rear space is slightly cramped for adults,
I own a 1.8 mp3 model, it has 17 inch alloys. I have always liked the 1st generatation focus, it is stylish, practical, very good to drive and good value for money.
I have had little in the way of problems with my car, the only ones i can recall was an engine management problem, which made the car go to half power, but that was fixed under warrenty quite easily. another problem was the rear wash wipe stopped working, this cost £40 to put right, ... ...wise parts are cheap and widely available, servicing is at good intervals and the cambelt change is at 100k. my car has done 84k and is 6 years old but drives like new.
the car is comfortale one long journeys, is good on petrol, and very good on motorways, i have the zetec suspension and so on the country lanes it is a dream to drive.
I would seriously recommend this car for everyone and with the choice of engines it is hard to go wrong. ...

Comfortable, and Affordable
Advantages: Its a Focus Hatchback Disadvantages: Low speed ride can be harsh.
Having owned a 1.8 Zetec for a year I decided that a change was needed as it had over 160,000 miles on the clock and I had already placed 20,000 on her.
I looked at several cars and was unimpressed with value for money until I saw a 2003 Focus ST170 in black. This car stood out with its 17" multi spoke alloys, lowered stance and Xenon headlamps, so much so, that I investigated further.
Sure enough the interior didnt scream "different" but the half ... ...CD player was enough to give it a small "wow".
After test driving the car it was clear this wasnt a balls out sports car, but more a tourer. Offering comfort and pace at extremely good price... I was sold and that was 2 months ago.
After owning the car for about 2 months, I feel that I am able to write a review that does the car justice.
Fist of all, I researched and found that people thought the fuel consumption was high and the figure quoted ...
