A pleasure to own
Advantages: Eye-catching and sporty, fast, nice interior with many extras Disadvantages: Tyres and some other parts expensive/rare
...actually know what they are. Ford should have retained a lot of this styling as it is great.
To drive the car is fast and handles well. It isn't a sports car in the sense that a Porsche is, but it is fun to drive and has the feel of an affordable sport. You're still going to pay more for similar cars of the same spec because of their rarity.
I haven't driven the 2.0 litre version, but I imagine that it would be somewhat underpowered because they ... ...consumption isn't as dramatic as I was expecting and as I had been warned - if you drive sensibly and cut down on unnecessary journeys and short runs, it's affordable to run.
I'm aware that some parts are fairly rare and pricey, the tyres will cost between £70 and £120 each according to quotes I've done already and I've read that the headlamps (not bulbs) are £250 a piece. However, many of the mechanical components are shared with the Mondeo and ...

KUGA - CAR OF CONTROVERSY?
Advantages: Style. Fit & Finish. Disadvantages: Price. Performance. Refinement. Options
...magazine road test of the Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCi Titanium, in which this very car wiped the floor with its competitors, I then read a completely contrary readers letter, from a potential Kuga owner, questioning their verdict when other magazines, comparative, road tests have rated the Kuga as an also-ran. He had it seems, also test driven the Kuga and its immediate competitors.
Bearing in mind that the Autocar test had been carried out in isolation, ... ...however hard the likes of Ford and Vauxhall try, their models will never qualify for "Premium" status. Some may know the history of Lexus, a brand born to parent company Toyota with the sole intention of attaining instant "Premium" status.
Readers new to my car reviews will not be familiar with my total disregard to badge snobbery. During the 1980's I ran a series of Fords, in the 90's a series of Vauxhalls and currently, a Subaru, in between there ...

2.0 litre Ford Cougar
Advantages: Economical motorway car. Disadvantages: Not as fast as it looks
...steering. On the whole the Ford Cougar Handles very well.
The car is a four seater, the front seats are supportive, firm but still comfortable. In the rear of the car slightly cramped for people with long legs. The storage space in the boot is more than adequat, you could safely a couple of trolley sized suit cases and still be able to close the boot without removing the parcel tray.
The security on the car is excellent, Fords imobilisor and alarm. ... ...alot of cars are quicker. Ford qoute the 2.0 litre cougars 0-60 time as 9.3 seconds. However, I have slightly modified my car, so from a standing start I leave the standard 2.0 litre mondeo, 2.0 litre TDCI's and other 2.0 litre cougars behind. The modifications to car are, Bluefin Superchip, Ecotec Valve, Cold Air Induction Kit, Cat Back Exhaust System, Eibach Lowering springs. The cougar is a rare car which will always draw attention because of ...

Khoi Truong
Advantages: Not sure about fuel consumption but everything is excellent Disadvantages: Not known so far
I've just bought a Ford Cougar V6 2.5L, 2001 model and has done 49444 miles. When going to the car dealer, I had no idea what to buy, when I saw the Cougar, she immediately impressed me by her beautiful appearance, the outside looks perfect and very sporty, when sit inside, it was even more impressive with leather seats, airbags, sun roof, sporty leather steering wheel, gear knob, dash board...too many good things to mention. I then asked to take ... ...parts can be bought from Ford dealers when needed, who cares about whether it's popular or not? I've just realized that somehow my heater doesn't work, only cooling but not heating and the car dealer will fix it tomorrow, luckily we are going into Spring in Melbourne, where I live so heating is not really needed for now. Congratulations to all owners of Cougars. Cheers.

Ford Cougar 2.5 v6
Advantages: nice looking ,comfortable ,delivers the power Disadvantages: back seats are not suitable for tall people
Ive had the ford cougar 2.5 v6 duratec since dec 06. ive found its agood car as long as there is only two to travel because the back seats althogh there is plenty of leg room. there just isnt the head room.So if u have anyone above average hight they will end of with a sore neck. The bucket seats in the back do look nice and are comfortable for the shorter people among us.This car does tend to drink the fuel when going about town but on the motorway ... ...it produces allows for a good time on the 0-60 side of things. The linterior is well designed and looks good in leather and has a few extras like the six disc multi changer in the boot along with a large storage capacity. The front seats a comfortable enough for long journeys the most ive done being 570 miles only stopping to fuel up.all in all a great car so i will probebly keep it for quite a while. ...
