The car is a four seater, the front seats are supportive, firm but still comfortable. In the rear of the car slightly cramped for people with long legs. The storage space in the boot is more than adequat, you could safely a couple of trolley sized suit cases and still be able to close the boot without removing the parcel tray.

The modifications to car are, Bluefin Superchip, Ecotec Valve, Cold Air Induction Kit, Cat Back Exhaust System, Eibach Lowering springs.

I bought my 2.0 litre cougar in May 2005 on a V-reg plate. As I am on the road every day I decided on the 2.0 litre model for better economy. The car is based on the mkII mondeo platform and the handling is pretty good for such a big car, especially on winding roads due to Fords passive rear wheel steering. On the whole the Ford Cougar Handles very well.

The security on the car is excellent, Fords imobilisor and alarm. The car has prettyy good security for passengers should there be an accident. The driver and passenger seats both have air bags built into the side support. There is an air bag built into the steering wheel and one for the passenger on the off side of the dashboard. to back matters even better both doors have side impact bars.
The perfomance of a 2.0 litre cougar is similar to that of the 2.0 litre mondeo. Between the lights the 2.0 litre cougar is ok, but alot of cars are quicker. Ford qoute the 2.0 litre cougars 0-60 time as 9.3 seconds. However, I have slightly modified my car, so from a standing start I leave the standard 2.0 litre mondeo, 2.0 litre TDCI's and other 2.0 litre cougars behind.

The cougar is a rare car which will always draw attention because of it's good looks. If you want outright performance though, go for the V6 and do the same mods as myself and you should expect about 200bhp.
Advantages: Speed, good acceleration, interior Disadvantages: Only 3 door
I've had my Cougar for over 2 years now, and it's been joy all the way. Being my first car its kind of special, anyway, and should be everyones first. You'll have cool written all over you when driving it!
The shell is loosely based on the Puma but what strikes you about this car is that it is more mature than the Puma, it isn't as powerful but will get you from A to B, and on to C. It comes in a wide rangeof colour but the only one that does it ... ...The petrol cap features an innovative design to deter thieves, very handy if you live in the city.
The inside is very comfortable with all the space you'll ever want. The dashboard is smooth and designed with sleekness in mind - modelled on the cougar. A stereo comes as standard with a CD available through a cheap upgrade. The sound output is Surround Sound, which surprised me as this is a very modern technology.
There's loads of boot space for ...

Advantages: nice looking Disadvantages: underpowered, poorly thought out inside
I've had the 2.0litre for over a year now and am still not impressed.
I test drove the 2.5 originally as that was the only vehicle that was available to test drive. I now believe that was a marketing ploy because that drove beautifully.
The 2 litre version is way too underpowered.
The level of accessories inside the car are also very poor. Simple things like when you move any seat forward to access the rear seats - the seat then moves back to ...
