I have had two diesel Fiestas. The first was so reliable that I bought a second. That wasn't. Oh well. So I would say reliability is variable. My current car gets through glow plugs and suspension arms like nothing else.
Style
Excuse me? Practical-looking.
Acceleration
Poor but ok once you are up to speed.
Value for money
Good. Parts are cheap and easy to get hold of. Good fuel economy. Unlikely to be stolen as it is slow.
Problems
Minor electrical faults, e.g. rear windscreen wiper and radio only work intermittently. This has been the case with both of my Fiesta.
Overall
Good for those who care more for basic practicality than shiny bits and speed. The car for those who can't afford a diesel Polo or Seat Ibiza!
