The Fiesta ST is a great little car, pulls well and surprisingly isn't that bad on fuel (I was expecting 200 to a tank but got regularly more with motorway driving.) It's not a car that I think you can commute in everyday, trust me I tried it for nearly three years with day to day motorway driving. It desperately needs a sixth gear, but that isn't to say that it's always a bad thing.
Because it revs high, about 3.6k at 70 you always have power. After about 4k is when the engine is most impressive and starts to pull well but becomes noisy too.
Cornering is impressive, and always stays flat but comes at the expensive of ride quality as you are riding on low profile 17" wheels that have a tendency to tram line (follow the tracks on the inside of the motorway and you will soon understand what I mean!)
In the flesh after a wash it's one of the best looking small cars around (definitely go for the side stripes and performance blue if you can stretch your budget) that is well equipped as standard.
If Ford do decide to release another Fiesta ST, I will probably be first in the queue just as long as the price is right and the build quality is there.
