I bought a 1 year old Ford Focus 1.8 Ghia estate. I 've had it for eight months now and I must admit that it's probably the best Ford I have driven. They have worked very hard on the drive and the handling. The interior is still pretty much typical Ford although with a Ghia model you do get the leather steering wheel, leather gear knob and the electric seat adjustment on the drivers seat. A small shame is that Ford did not go the whole way and do small things like dampen the springs on the overhead handles in the cabin like VW. That might have added just a small touch of class. One small fault that I have noticed on this car and also on other colleagues is that the fuel gauge does tend to drop to zero if you fill up the car just one click on a petrol pump too much, this is rectified by turning it off and on again. Load space for an estate of this size though is very impressive.
