just before the turn of the century this little hatchback was released by ford to replace the long-serving escort. it has become just as successful, with nearly everyone wanting one; from mums with kids to city commuters.
the overall design of the car is good but not outklandish so don't expect any attention. i got mine in a rather nice neptune green. inside, a good description would be practical rather than style. there are 5 comfortable seats and cd autochanger, air con, etc. the wood effect plastic is not that great.
the size of the car is good for urban life but the low height does not offer much of a view. the performance is better than your european counterpart. according to the handbook it can do 114 mph, but i've never tried this (it's against the law) and it handles well on all smooth surfaces.

This opinion needs more infomation on how the car drives and general advantages and dis advantages on ownership etc. I have the full manual and leaflets and cannot find the top speed of 145. According to the What Car magazine there TESTED maximum speed or the 1.8i 16v LX/Zetec/Ghia is 114.Anyone who has driven the car will realise that it is not capable of 145 therefore i do not beleive you have driven the car.Thanks Sam Williams If you would like to reply i would gladly receive a message in my guestbook.
