I bought my Focus 1.8 MP3 (3 door special edition) about 14 months ago, and I tend to get bored with things very quickly, but suprisingly, I am far from becoming bored with my Focus. In fact the only reason I would consider changing it is to get another one. Every time I drive it, I enjoy it. It accelerates well and is smooth and refined at high speeds. The 1.8 16 valve Zetec engine has more than enough power to keep the average driver satisfied, and it delivers it well. The cornering, and handling in general are excellent - the car always feels stable and I feel in control. The clutch and gearbox are smooth and provide a 'satisfying' gearchange, and the brakes feel very positive. Being a special edition, the equipment levels were good, including metallic paint, 17" alloy wheels, MP3 player, electric windows etc. and the only option I did have to add, a climate pack (including air conditioning, quickclear heated front windscreen and electric heated mirrors), was very fairly priced. The only thing that let the car down was that ABS was not standard, or even an option on this model, however it is now standard across the whole Focus range. I also love the looks of the Focus - mine is a 3 door model, which is still a spacious, sensible family car, but looks very sporty, and if there were less of them on the road, it would really stand out! The interior is also stylish, with good quality plastics used. Overall an excellent car. Hopefully the new Focus range due out in October 2004 will be just as good.

My boyfriend has fallen in love with the Focus and cant stop singing its praises. He said he is going to save up to buy one. Think he has about 20p so far lol.

It is a real shame that Ford do not make this model anymore and, indeed, the MP3 player that went in it!
What I would like would be a 3-door Focus 1.6l MP3, based on the current Flight model.

Sounds a good car - nice engine on it. Although I must confess I don't like 3DR cars I would always pay that bit more to get the 5DR model.
