I've had a 1.8 Focus collection for about a year now. My previous car was a MK3 Golf 1.8 and the Focus was a revalation.
Came with heated screen and mirrors - a godsend on a cold frosty morning, decent CD player, mororised mirrors, air con, metallic paint & alloy wheels.
Boot space is OK and quite a lot can be squeezed in there especially with the back seats down. Storage for sunglasses and bits OK but could be better.
I find driving this car a real pleasure and would realy recomend one to anyone and after several hours behind the wheel no real backache problems. In fact I decided to get a Focus after talking to someone who lives along my road who also had one.
The 1.8 is not a world beater when it comes to performance but I find it good enough for me and quite nippy while returning a good economy on fuel.
So far no problems with owning one, MOT passed with no problems and no breakdowns.
The only bad thing about this car is my local Ford dealer who is awful and most unhelpful. All servicing is now done by a local garage. Then again I found with my previous car the local VW dealer is useless and expensive.

I have been known to "borrow" for prolonged periods my brothers Focus 1.8 Turbo Diesel due to the sheer comfort when driving it for extended lengths of time. They are nippy cars as well which I found surprising when I first test drove one. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
