This review is intended for people who do not understand or are not interested in the technical side of cars and driving. I know nothing about that myself. However, I can tell you how I feel about the C-max my partner and I bought when our family was due to become bigger. Now if you can imagine, up until this point I had only driven a Fiesta. A small and nippy car. Looking for a big family car was a bit of a shock to me - and believe me we looked at loads! We finally decided on the C-max after a test drive. We have been very happy with the car. Our 5 year old loves the 'secret' compartment by his feet where he keeps his travel toys and books. He thinks it is very grown up to have his own light in the back and his own table to fold down. Our baby's chair fits very nicely and there is lots of room between the driver and passenger seats for the passenger to turn around and deal with the children without interfering with the driver. On the negative side for me (you might like this), I feel very high off the road and, being short, the hand brake feels quite a reach. Having said that, the pedals are easier to reach than in the fiesta even which left much more belly-room when I was pregnant and driving. The only problems we've had are that the air-con seems to turn itself on automatically and you need to remember to turn it off when you use the blower, and the boot sometimes unlocks itself - but luckily has never opened. We do love that big boot space with room for a pram, changing bag, swimming gear, toys and packed lunches though. Days out are nice and easy because we can take everything with us without compromise. Most of all, I just feel safe in it. Probably because it is heavier and more solid than the fiesta. It is a nice smooth, comfortable ride and I would recommend it to people with families - especially if you are used to driving a Ford.
Advantages: Loads of Bootspace, Practicality, Performance Disadvantages: Dealers, Consumption
My first C-Max was a 1.6 TDCi, and I have to say that it was a disappointment. The specification of the car is practically the same as the 2.0 litre TDCi apart from the six-speed gearbox, but the performance left a lot to be desired; the 1.6 was slow and sluggish with too much 'lag' so I was pleased to get the 2.0 litre a week or so later. What a difference this car proved to be! The specification includes power assisted steering, electric windows ... ...Brakes, Twin Airbags, Heated Front Screen (An absolute MUST) Air Conditioning, Electric mirrors, Remote ICE controls, Alloy Wheels, Cup Holders, Aircraft style trays, Rear floor storage, Sunglasses holder, Remote controlled central locking, Alarm, Three rear inertia seatbelts, and of the course the optional furry dice! Don't be fooled by the cars 'family' look, this car leaves most of the idiots competing in 'The Traffic Light Grand Prix' for dead! ...

Non Roadworthy C-Max Car review ofFord Focus C-MAX Zetec 2.0i 16V TDCi SIIIby
SoulLine
Advantages: Good road view Disadvantages: Kept cutting out
The Ford Focus C-Max, was a very disappointing experience for me, as the Vehicle that I had was in the garage on 17 occasions. Each time I took the car back to the garage they told me that there was nothing wrong with it.
On the day I was about to collect the car from the dealer, I received a phone call not to collect the car as there was a dangerous fault and it was not roadworthy. This sound have sounded alarm bells, and I should never have taken ... ...day duty after coming out of the hospital car park, my steering went, and I had to call out the RAC, the gentleman that came out spent almost 2 hrs running tests, and things went from bad to worse.
The gentleman from the RAC towed the Vehicle back to the garage, for them to repair it. For the next first week I was without a car, and the garage never told me I could get the lend of a car for the time it was with them for repair.
I eventually received ...
