Disadvantages: Very long wait for spares, excuses but no apology,

Fords are fantastic cars until something goes wrong, my experience started on the 13 December 07 when someone decided to go into the back of me. The repairs were completed in record time all apart from a rear bumper which was being sourced from Fords direct. It is now the 16 February 08 and I still do not have my car back, apparently Fords outsourced the bumper manufacturing and this company went bust. So everyone in the country has to wait. Apparently I may get my bumper sometime in March but at present this is not guaranteed this is outrageous as i have been told my bumper is the next one due in. By buying a Ford Focus I expected that if I needed spares at anytime these would be easy to come by, however I was sorely mistaken. Fords pass the buck and really do not want to know. Review of Ford

Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec

Advantages: A great car from all angles
Disadvantages: Not as many extras included as I would have liked

I am now the proud owner of a ford focus 1.6 zetec and for the first time in many years I have actually found a car that pretty muc suits all my needs. I have spent many a time in cars that are too big, too small, not suitable, not comfortable etc but this is everything I could ask for. I own the three door version but the doors open widely and when the front seat is moved forward there is plenty of room to get anyone in the back, even my mother in law who is disabled. The back of this car is extremely spacious, comfortably fitting 3 large adults in. The boot size is deceiving in that it looks pretty small but is very spacious indeed. Perfect for all those shopping bags as well as a childs pushchair. The actual drive of this car is superb. Mine runs on unleaded and is very economical. I can get over 200 miles to £35 ...

Ford Focus 1.6 - Shocking!!

Advantages: Handling and Looks
Disadvantages: Customer Service, Bodywork, Transmission...

of servicing and repairs came charging out to me, ranting "we don't pass judgement on other dealers the same as we wouldn't like them to pass it on us!" and stomped off leaving me in the middle of the workshop. I got the car home and I could still smell the clutch burning. I took it back, and the mechanic casually said "it probably hasn't been cleaned out properly", and I accompanied him for a test drive. He hammered it up to about 80mph on a narrow A-road and commented that there was nothing wrong. One week after this, the gear linkage from the stick to the box sheared. I called the dealer again and they couldn't have cared less. I got rid of the car very soon afterwards. I hope that this is a one off, as the car really was very nice to drive. Following this experience I would NEVER buy a Ford again. ...
