I have been driving the Ford Focus 1.6 Titanium five door for about sixteen months now. I had not owned a Ford for quite a while and wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered it as a new company car. I had been told they were good, but you never really know until you try it for yourself. Anyway, from the moment the car was delivered I can honestly say that it has been a wondeful car to own. Some people have criticised the look of it, personally I think they look modern, stylish and 'appropriate'. What I mean by that is that the Ford Focus is a family car. It is not a Porsche, Ferrari or Lambo, it is a Ford designed to carry a family around comfortably, and it does that very well. The boot space is amazing for a car of it's size - more than enough room to load up with luggage for a weeks holiday in Devon every time! The interior is comfortable and well designed. In my opinion the best part about taking the Titanium model is the upgrade to a Sony stereo which is fantastic! On the motorway up in 4th and 5th gears the engine purrs along and fuel sonsumption is good too - I have covered 28,000 miles and averaged around 38 mpg between a good mix of motorway and city driving. The only critiscm I would have of the car is of the engine at low speed/revs. Pulling away is sometimes 'painful' when you really want to get going and perhaps the turbo diesel may have been a better choice? However, all round the focus is a good drive and I will be upset when it has to go back.
