I'm currently driving the Ford Ka 3 (1.3) as a courtesy car. Being a courtesy car it has few features...no electric windows, no sunroof, no central locking, but I believe that these are available if required.
The first thing that hit me about this car was the power steering. Man alive! You turn the steering wheel, one degree and it as good as does a 90 degree turn! It's gonna take some getting used to! I'm sure that when I get my old car back, I'm gonna end up going into the back of someone, as I'll have gotten used to the power steering and will understeer big time on my none-power steered car!
Other than that, it accelerates pretty well for a 1.3, and is easy to drive. It's a small car and is hence easy to park. It's also very economical, it's mpg is very good (45mpg).
Now lets get onto the size. It's very spacious...as long as you only take one passenger. You can get people in the back, but I don't recommend it if they're older than 5 years old as it'll be a bit of a squash!
Oh yeah, the glovebox....the only gloves that are gonna fit in there are gloves for midgets with extremely small hands. Plus, it has a very post-modern clock which is not a problem except when you actually need to tell the time as it's difficult to read off!
Here are some more specs.
Engine Specifications 1.3, 1.3i Paint Finishes Available with ten paint finishes - including 7 metallics. Typical Features PAS, side impact door beams, drivers airbag, heated rear window, safeguard immobiliser, high security doorlocks, tinted glass, stereo.
At about £7000, I'm not sure that it's value for money as it has minimal features and no extras (at least on my model). Happy driving.
