***Why purchased a KA 1.6 SE*** My first car was a 10 year old fiesta which I unfortunately wore out on my long journeys to work, so I decided to invest in something small and nippy. Before you buy a Streetka, there are a few things I would recommend you think about. The first, and I guess seemingly obvious, is will a 2 seater interfere with your day to day life? I conducted a mini survery of my journeys before taking the plunge in Summer 2004 and found that probably 95% of my driving is done either on my own, or with one other person in the car. If you have kids or dogs obviously this car (or any other 2 seater to be fair) isn't for you- I'm 25, without either of those but there've still been a few times I've wished I could strap an extra couple of chairs on to the back ... more

Okay before we start I must confess that I am slightly biased about this car (or should I say Ka!). Previously I owned a 1997 standard Ford Ka which despite it's age and very recent issues I adored and I struggled to part with. I decided to buy a newer Ford Ka which could stand up to the milage I was going to throw at it. Having bought my Ford SportKA over a year ago now, i can say that i am very happy everytime i get in, holding its chunking steering wheel and listening to the deep exhaust note i feel ready for the go-kart like race to work in the morning. One could consider a standard KA to be a particularily ugly car, the SportKA however is like a pretty pathetic weedy machine that has been given a dose of anabolic steroids with its flared wheel arches and 16" alloys. Ive had my car since July and im absolutely delighted with it. I love the way it looks and it performs really well too. It a SportKa, manufactured in 2004, bough with approx 3,000 miles. Four seats - sports styling throughout. A joy to have. I have not had one problem at all with my Ka and the staff at the Ford garage where i bought it were really helpful too, so im sure theyu would sort me out if anything were to go wrong. -Price Price wise i think you get what you pay for but just be aware when buying from a garage/sales person.
